• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Bullying

I was bullied most of the way through elementary school, having been taught that it wasn't "nice" to fight. The summer I spent working with my uncle (a (UDT trainer during WW2) plus a growth spurt, 5'3" to 6'1", kinda took care of that. john

Trailers to haul 2015 Spyder RT

I'll second the Aluma 7210 with the bifold ramp, mine has the 24 inch rack set on it, which gives a solid 2 foot rock guard across the front. It's worked well for me. john

Seeking Honest Feedback on Russell Daylong Custom Seats

I'm not sure if they still do it, but you can check their website. My RDL was done around October, and they gave discounts on the seats during the winter months, I got a great seat, and a discount! john

Trailering a Spyder on an open trailer

If you are riding your Spyder, you don't (can't) cover it, with an open trailer, if it's tied down properly, and no unforeseen incidents come along, the only thing that can happen is road dirt. It washes off, just as if you were riding. I've been through around 10 states with my Spyders on...

    I had a hitchhiker

I've had two incidents with junebugs, the first hit me in the throat at around 80 mph, had to stop, couldn't breathe right for about 5 minutes. The second hit the back of my left hand about an inch below the knuckles, carried the scar for years, and won't ride without gloves. john

    Need Advice!

If you've ever ridden a snowmobile or an ATV (4 wheeler), the Spyder is a lot closer to them than 2 wheels when it comes to riding. Take it easy, light grip on the bars, remember it doesn't lean, so you have to. Once you get the hang of it, it can be lots of fun! john

    Forgotten Cars from your youth

I had some "interesting" cars, '39 Chevy with a 302 Wayne Jimmy, '40 Pontiac with a '56 Olds, '53 Merc with a '55 Buick, but I always liked the '53 and '54 Buick Skylarks, and found the '57 Rambler Rebel very interesting.....picture a Rambler with a 327 Chevy in it - from the factory! john

    2009 SM5

Hopkins has a 5 light to 4 light powered converter that will isolate the trailer from the Spyder's wiring. You'll need a 20 amp circuit if you use incandescent lights, and positaps make the connections easier. I had this setup on my GS and had no problems with it. john

    BEST PRANKS

Back in my high school days, a group of us got together to go ice skating, the class bully showed up and started his usual schtick. When we went to a friends house for hot chocolate, the kid pushed his way to the front of the line, and grabbed the first mug. About an hour after that, with a...
