• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BRP Extended Warranty

Got mine Picked up my '14 RT on October 10th and got a BEST registration card for the additional two years yesterday. Dealer seems to think I can extend it further if I buy the extension during the first year. Anybody heard that?

    Good and Bad Day

Sounds like mine Had similar problems with my 2012 RT-S SE5. BUDS indicated that it was losing communications with the transmission control module. Bike would up and downshift on its own when sitting at idle with no one on board, not to mention doing the same while riding. Worst incident was...

    That was a close one!

Had one today myself Riding south on US17 in Brunswick. Guy comes up the ramp from my right, cuts off an F150 and myself in one fell swoop across three lanes. Turns out he was trying to get across to make an illegal U-turn. Got to activate the ABS as I watched the slow motion version of him...

Finally the end of my rant

I remember those guys I spent 11 years in San Diego while in the Navy. Got there in 1979 and Fun Bike Center was the worst place for service even then. Ended up taking my business over to Brattins on El Cajon Blvd.

    Gas Mileage Yipee

Actually Actually, I do occasionally. Just a bad habit I developed. I keep saying I will not ride so far daily, then the evil long distance personality always seems to take over :banghead:

    Gas Mileage Yipee

Traded for a 2014 RT SM6 yesterday. First fill up today yielded 34.5. Love the torque and the mileage increase over my 2012 RT-S SE5. Today was the paymasters' (wife) longest day ever on a bike at 315 miles. Her hinny is dragging but her face is smiling. Life is good here.

What is your favorite involment with the Police

Salinas Although I can’t top some of these, here is my most memorable. February 1982, I was making decent time down CA1 in Salinas. I was riding my R65 BMW with a Rabid Transit fairing. Looked in the mirror for a traffic check as I pulled into the left land to pass a Greyhound bus and...

    Harley Attitude

Another Come Back Have only had one negative comment. Was coming out of Lowes and a Harley rider mentioned he wouldn't ride if he couldn't ride a real bike. I replied, "Well when you get to be a VA rated disabled vet and my age, they'll let you buy a better ride." Got an apology and thanks for...

Nuvi I have a Nuvi 855 mounted to JTs Dash Mount and powered by JTs, Dash Power using a 12v Blue Seas connector. Had to give up my analog temp gauge, but it is very stable and uses a keyed power source. Very happy with the set up.

    Another Secret Lab Encounter

Spent the morning at Doc Riversides Secret Spyder lab again. I mostly watched while he performed all the magic. Anyway, I now have JTs dash mount and dash power installed. Gorgeous parts and places my old Nuvi GPS perfectly in the middle above the dash. Next project will be JTs air cleaner...

    Lost Access Panel

Good day it is! Retraced my route from Saturday this morning early. Believe it or not I found the panel lying in the breakdown lane. It even landed face up and with only a minor scratch on the top rear corner. Wifey says she felt something hit her foot and thought it was probably a rock. Any...
