• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2-Way Radio and Bluetooth

28 miles on these talkies? No problem. I once talked over 200 miles on my talkie to another talkie, both with similar power levels as the Family Radio talkies. I was a bit over 100 miles away on a mountaintop across the Los Angles basin from the repeater that was on another mountain top. The...

    New Toy Hauler

Our Volvo had auto-shift, which means you only had to use the clutch to start moving and when coming to a stop. The rest of the time it shifted up and down automatically as needed. The wife still has no manual shift experience but had no problem with the clutch starting and stopping the truck...

    New Toy Hauler

The Volvo is the most popular of the OTR trucks for towing RV's. The wife and I loved ours when we had it. There is lots of info on the web, here is one site: http://www.dmbruss.com/zRedRover/RR_WhyVolvo770.htm Cindy driving: Not our inside but better pictures!

    New Toy Hauler

Actually the truck has two beds, the lower bunk can sleep two adults and the upper can very comfortably sleep one adult or a couple of smaller kids. It was registered as a motor home but the only time we slept in it was overnights while travelling.

    New Toy Hauler

Back when we had our toy hauler we lived full-time in it when I was working as a contractor mostly on the road. We didn't have any motorcycles then but the garage with my workbench and tools kept me happy.

Yes, simple, just figure out how to break the laws of physics! Shortened antenna, less signal pickup. Larger antenna, more signal pickup. Works the same way as guys and girls.

    Touring ?

This last summer we spent one week camping at the US Stony Fork campground near Wytheville, VA. From there we rode every day, the routes are shown on the map. Of course we left the camper trailer in the campground each day and I also left my little one-wheeled trailer in camp, only towed it from...

Spyder RT verses Goldwing.. We're confused

Having gone from a 2010 Spyder RT and then to 2-wheels on a Honda NC700 (the wife took over the Spyder), I didn't really notice anything unexpected. I then started having arthritis issues with both my knees so I sold the 2-wheeler and went to a Spyder RS and didn't notice anything unexpected at...

White Rock Marathon in Dallas being filmed on Spyders

No pictures, didn't happen. It's easy to take a good quality picture of a flat screen TV these days, using a smartphone camera with the flash turned off. Unless you still are using film with flashbulbs and a glass screen analog TV.

Miles you rode this year and special memorable trips

My most memorable ride this year wasn't long but was very special. The 2017 Blue Knights 35th annual Teddy Bear Run to benefit the Richmond, VA Children's Hospital. We delivered teddy bears to the kids (patients) at the hospital, ladies from a local sorority were there to collect the bears while...

    Tire hell sorry

Yes. :f_spider: But only if you insist and continue to insist that the OEM tires are the only tires that are to be put on BRP Can-Am Spyders in order to prevent the destruction of this solar system. I think we are all dancing around the elephant in the room here. Since we are talking about...
