• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    My MPG Experiment

    I found riding at 5k rpms gave me best MPG results. Any higher or lower and the MPG drop atleast from the non scientific tests i have done. The 5k RPM range gives me 31-32 mpg most of the time around town and i get 38 mpg on highway trips

    I have right at 7800 miles. I filled out everything on the spyder ryder for the 5k pin submitted my pics and so forth and then 3 days later it wanted me to submit it again so i gave up on BRP.

    Yea I checked the Connection to the tail light, I removed the shrink tube and even checked the connection to the LED's. I have the unit itself removed right now didn't take the time to remove the LED's fully though. And this morning i thought to myself you big dummy you didn't bother to check...

    Vista Cruise Universal Cruise Control for Spyder

    I have 7/8 universal Vista Cruz throttle lock installed and I'm happy with it. It's easy to lock/unlock and does the job of locking the throttle. I will go ahead and let you know if your using the ISO Grips you will need to use a dremel to get it to slide over the grips.

    How hot does your spyder run? Ever worried?

    Last year mine never got above 5 bars even at 110 but this year i hit 6 bars when its 80. My fan is cutting on so i'm not sure why its running so hot this year unless its the exaust leak i have.

    :agree: but on the other hand when your relying on a 3rd party Machine Shop as i believe the kind folks at Kewlmetal are sometimes you are out of inventory and waiting for them to get the items made. i'm not a business owner so Just my .02 cents as i've had to wait on machine shops in the past...
