• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    sts or st limited

The plus side to the ST-S is that it's available in Circuit Yellow and it doesn't have hideous chrome wheels, however, the Ltd is great value for money. I'd have bought the Ltd if I'd been made aware of the £2,500 offered by BRP! I'm sure I could've lost the wheels somewhere. Now, if I wanted to...

    Flag holder for RT

Anyone seen a flag pole for an ST? I like to fly my Fat Crip flag (International Signal flag Foxtrot- "I am disabled; communicate with me"), but other than a 5' ATV whip, I've not seen anything. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Left hand or thumb throttle for RT?

The fly by wire causes issues if you want to go left handed. So much so, I was told it couldn't be done! However, my dealer in London did the business and fitted a left hand throttle and brake for me. It works well, but shifting and indicating whilst holding the throttle open is a challenge...

Looking for Spyder RT waterproof bag that will fit back seat without passenger

I agree. Simple, tough, waterproof and not too expensive!

    Surgery done

I'm glad all went well! I'm Fat Crip because I had C3/4, C4/5 laminectomy 10 years ago this month. Let's say it didn't exactly go to plan! I woke up totally paralysed from the neck down, able to breath, but not digest food. It took me nine months in Spinal Rehab to get back on my feet to hobble...

Where can I find a better dipstick?

I cross threaded mine too! Easy done :-(

    Nitrogen

Yes air is just over 80% nitrogen, but I expect the argument goes something like, yeah, 80% nitrogen, 18% corrosive oxygen and 2% God knows what, but certainly including water vapour! Would you put 80% petrol in your tank? Personally, I'm not convinced, but my local Kwik-Fit puts in Nitrogen and...

    Chaps or Pants????

I as a Briton, read this with a smirk! Here pants are what many of you might call boxers, but generally the tighter cotton, budgie smuggler variety and chaps are only worn by Village People wannabes! The only place you might find chaps outside of a gentleman's bedroom or a certain type of...

    Spyder ST park brake button

Nothing. It only operates below a certain speed. I can't remember what speed, but it's single figures.

New QuadSki that is now available that my buddy showed me today

In Europe, quads are, or at least can be, road legal. My Can Am Outlander 800 certainly was and carried my disabled body thousands of miles as it rode with my able bodied friends on their two wheelers. It was a bit of an unequal battle of course, but now I've evened up the odds a little! Sent...

now this girl knows how to handel a organ

Oh dear this kind of heading is really offensive and should get the author banned! Don't you realise that you should never allude to a young lady's prowess at handling a organ on a family orientated web forum as it will corrupt children and give women the wrong idea about men...it's AN organ...

    Spyder's and Age

I'm 47, but my body is knackered due to tetraplegia (quadriplegia in American), so my 94 year old grandfather is fitter than me! I'd be back on a two wheeler in a heartbeat if I could, but it'd be a Buell not a Harley!

To wave or not to wave, that is the question

In Europe most bikers wave too, but in the UK we pretty much never do. We nod instead. I don't know for certain, but I think it may be because we drive on the left, therefore passing throttle hand to throttle hand. For everyone else to wave means lifting your left or clutch hand which I'd easy...

    120 MPH on Motorcycle--Jail

I had a sports bike about 15 years ago and once saw 170mph going down a 2 mile straight near my house. When I got home I decided to sell it because I'd really enjoyed it; what a buzz! I realised that I was either going to either end up in jail of dead. A few years later I was in a spinal rehab...

    Looking for length, weight etc

Ditto, except I haven't yet found a folding cane that's quite long enough so I go round all stopped like an old man!

Does anyone know of any foldable trailers?

I just sold my folding trailer this evening (it's 9pm here). I sold it as it's only 4' wide - great for the Can-Am Outlander, useless for the Spyder! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Catalytic Converter

Of course, if you do gut your cat, it's pretty irreversible and, I'd bet, if you do need it later for changing emissions regs, a replacement would cost a pretty penny. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    Gas Capacity - 6.1 Gal + 1 Gal Reserve?

I've been reading this with a little confusion. Why? Well first, though I haven't measured it, I feel like I'm getting a few more miles to the gallon on my 2013 STS than most of you, but then, I'm also thinking I only have a five and a half gallon tank. Then one post and I'm back in the game...

    Which BRP backrest?

The old one requires you have the luggage rack, the new one fits straight to the bike. The old one can be removed by simply pulling a cable and a cover plate put in its place. The new one is removable, but I think it requires a tool ( you might want to check that). The old one is adjustable, the...
