• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Pinstripes

I've got these... I've got these from TwistedChrome on my white RTL and would recommend them to anybody. I think they look good and are of outstanding quality. They have quite a few styles to choose from and I've had 'em on for about a year without issue. I have a few different designs with a...

    Pet Name "Sandra"

No biggie You post however you want dude! I do admit that it took me a second to figure out that Sandra was your trike, but that wasn't a steep learning curve! I think you should post like you would speak...That adds personality to the conversations and keeps this forum interesting and lively...

Camera on the helmet IS still the best! I will tell you why....

How did you.... Nice video Bob! I enjoyed it a lot. Not to be contrary to Pirate, but that's my jam!!! I don't currently have a cam, but am considering asking Santa for one. What annoys me most about a lot of Ride Videos is Wind Noise. I'd rather have it silent than listen to that. I have...

    Why the dislike?

People have always.... People have always had the "Us" and "Them" mentality. If you don't fit into their concept of what something is "Supposed" to be, then you become a "Them". I'm sure we've all had this occur to some degree after becoming a Spyder owner. But if you just keep on keeping on...

    2 hour Farkle

Besides the.... Besides these being a less expensive way to go....I really like how they light up the back of the housing as well as being seen from the front. I have the TricLed version of this Mod in amber, which I like, but after seeing how those are glow, I might have to add some more...

    Newbee

Welcome!.... Welcome to the wonderful world of the Spyder!:welcome: Like many here, you'll likely find that the more you ryde your Spyder, the more you'll wanna ryde your Spyder!!! We too have had the shallowness of a few of our ryding buddies revealed following our RTL acquisition. But it's...

    new guy question: helmets

I agree with you Tazzel...Most accidents will have you plant that chin into a very bad place! But....As far as I'm concerned, a Modular is a Full Face Helmet with the ability to open the front and get a drink or speak with someone without taking it off... I wouldn't generally wear it open...

    Parts source

Sometimes there are.... I've seen many parts on Ebay. There are often Dismantlers or bike shops with parts for sale. You can also contact them to see if they have other parts that they have yet to post. Just another avenue....

    new guy question: helmets

I like.... I've been looking online at Modular Helmets for a while and I really like the functionality of the Shark Evoline 3 that Finless pointed out. But I would really like to try one on... I have a very hard time spending $$$ for something that may or may-not fit correctly. I've been called...

Interesting…Just Stumbled Onto This YouTube Video Of A Can AM Jack

I've seen this.... I've seen "Big Blue" before, but never noticed that it seems to have been designed to lift using the Rear Shock mount as it point of contact. From what I've read, this is a BIG No-No and should not be used as a lifting point. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

    Sheepskin Seatcover...

I just picked up a Sheepskin (Overland Sheepskin Co) to use as a seat-cover, but haven't had a chance to ryde with it yet. I've been told they are great in Summer and Winter, but it occurs to me that I've never inquired how they hold up regarding butt-to-seat traction in the twisties.... My...

    Drop-Tail Trailer

Nice! Congratulations on your purchase! I've been considering a Droptail trailer for some time now. I hear that they work great for Spyders. I just don't know if I'd actually get the use out of it to justify the expense. I've been keeping an eye out for a used one, but they are rare to find...

    Brake Sensor Code

Bad Things.... So I added a small splash of DOT4 fluid into the front reservoir only to see if that any difference. That brought it from in the slant to just below the filler-neck. Now I'm not only still getting the 0049 code, I'm now getting "Brake Failure" in orange on the display. It still...

    New Man here:)

Welcome... Welcome:welcome: to the group! This is, without a doubt, the best place to gather Spyder Info! Just understand that people largely talk about their problems and not as much about their joyful experiences. Don't relate that talk to mean that these machines are problematic. They are...

    Brake Sensor Code

I guess..... I guess I'll add a spoonful or 2 of DOT4 that I bought a couple of weeks ago for this kind of occasion. Time will tell! I was worried that this was a "Broken Sensor" code and not a "Fluid Level" code.... Thanks for the info!
