• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    STS Frunk removal

I looked here and Youtube and found videos for removing "Tupperware" to access the battery on GS/RS and RT's but nothing on ST's. Does anyone know of a "How to guide for accessing the Battery on the ST's? Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Sena SMH5

I just go the Sena SMH5 and I'm quite impressed. It was easy to install and it's loud and clear. Music sounds good too. The only problem is that now I'll actually be able to take phone calls while trying to get lost on my :spyder2:. :shemademe_smilie:

Question for the more experienced Spyder owners.

I was on the freeway today going 70 mph in 5th on my STS-SE5. I accelerated at that point to 85 mph. There was a shutter at about 78/79 mph and it went away at 80 mph. It did it everytime I accelerated quickly to the mid 80's from 70 mph. If I slowly accelerated to the mid 80's it didn't...

    picture from 2009 Alaska trip

I'm sorry, I saw them in the Random Album scroll at the top of the Forum page and wrongfully assumed everyone else saw them too.:banghead: So I guess I can't point them out. If I see the album come up again I'll try to grab one. But thank you for trying to help.

    picture from 2009 Alaska trip

I noticed in the pictures that the red and silver RS's have a small black box thing behind the steering wheel center and in front of the driver. What is that? I'm assuming its a storage unit of sort but is it a standard BRP accessory or an aftermarket product only for RS/GS's? Thanks.

    New Side panels

Bob I think you are right. In 13 it's called magnesium and in 14 platinum silver. Why they had to change that is beyond me. I told Steve at BRP that they should give us 13 owners a break on the price or better yet free. He didn't ignore me, he wrote back and said he would keep me posted on...

    New Side panels

I'm not sure that's true. You can still get the Black, Silver and Yellow, just maybe not on your model. E.g. the silver comes on the Limited now instead of the STS and we all know it's the same darn panel. Am I wrong?

    installing Garmin Nav unit

I'm going to install a nav unit soon and see the Zuma series mentioned here a lot. I went to the Garmin site and it shows the Zuma series listed for motorcycles and Nuvi listed for Automotive and was wondering why I can't use a Nuvi series model instead. They are a lot cheaper and as far as I'm...

Was going to purchase a ST Limited

Honestly if I had joined this forum before I purchased my STS I might have not purchased either. There is a lot of negative crap here. Since I didn't join here first I went with my impulse and purchased it as a "Mile Stone" birthday gift to myself and I love the thing. Other than a cosmetic...

    BRP Garmin GPS kit qustions....

Do you think you could explain the wiring part a little more. You mentioned tapping into fuel gauge power, how did you do that. Did you cut and splice and if so where, etc. I have a STS and I'd like to do the same. Does the kit have good installation instructions? Thanks!
