• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I really want to like this bike...

Hang in there. The bike can be a great ride. I am on my second one now and there is some learning as all have said. The alignment can help keep the bike on a straight line. One of the biggest things for me is to make sure your front end is not sagging and does not dip going into the corners...

    Key Lubrication

:agree: I use powdered graphite on all of my locks; house, car, truck, Spyder, etc. It works great. Just be careful of the graphite on the key after a treatment as it can get on your clothes.

    Finally Pulled The Trigger

Well I have been wanting to upgrade my 2011 RT LTD to the new 1330 cc engine. My 2011 has been a great ride and I have taken it for many a weekend ride and some week long rides. It has never failed me, but I was looking for the extra power, cooling and gas mileage. I pulled the trigger on a...

RT 2015 Model vs 2016 Model Features

All, My apologizes if this has been posted in teh past. I am thinking about trading my 2011 RT Limited in for a 2015/2016 model. The larger engine, better heat transfer and longer range has me thinking hard. I see where BRP is running a promotional on 2015 models and was wondering what the...

    RIVCO Trunk Mounted Flag Holder

I may be just the lucky one, but I ordered the dual flag poles from Rivco. Not very impressed with their customer support or shipping department. It was ordered as a gift so the ship-to address was different from the billing address. The first time it shipped, it was sent to the billing...

    Phone Mount 2013 RT-S

+1 for the Ram mount and the X-Grip. I attached that to my dash just outside of the gauges and they work great.

    Here's a look at the 2014 Can-Am Spyder lineup

:agree: I anxiously await those who do purchase to see what their experience is. Having fixed the heat issue and longer distance is a major plus.:popcorn::bbq::bbq::thumbup:

    12 Years ago----- Today

If you have not read the stories about the 2 million bike ride through DC in support of those who lost their lives on 9/11 it is well worth the read. This link is from The Blaze, but others are available...

    Bajaron Sway Bar

OK, I have looked at Bajaron's page and did not see any installation instructions for the sway bar. How difficult of an installation is it? I am not the best mechanic around, but do have some mechanical aptitude. I have been hearing so much about this, that I am really wanting to try one out.

So what would make you trade up to a 2014?

For me the following items would get me thinking (not in any specific order): Better gas mileage Better range Turn signals that can be seen easily in direct sunlight Turn signal switch that is more reliable when trying to turn off after a lane change Leave the gas and temp gauges on the...

    What rain gear to get

We bought the Tour Master Elite II rain suits. They work great as we have been caught out a few times in some fairly nasty weather. Keeps you dry, will store in one of the saddle bags for when you need it. Here is a link to the Jacket. You will find the link to the pants on the left nav bar...

22 Days in the saddle...touring America.

That is a good number of :ani29: to see. We have taken a few rydes over in Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, etc. and usually only see a handful. Course, we are usually on the back roads enjoying Americana and staying away from the interstates.

For all the tall riders who ride an RT

I am 6' 3" and am wondering the same thing. I am looking at the Seal floorboards as they appear to give you the most movement for your feet. I am also looking at the Corbin seat to give me some more firmness in the cushion. I am thinking that will help take some of the pressure points off of...

Very New Novice Spyder RT Limited Rider

:congrats: on your :spyder2: purchase and :welcome:. I really cannot add to what other have state above. Just remember a light grip on the controls and with your knees and enjoy the ryde. This is a great sight with TONS of people willing to help with both ryding skills as well as the...

    New-bee Seeking Advice

:welcome: Your questions have been answered many times over. This is a great site for information and to have a chuckle or two. As far as the ryde goes, I agree with a previous post. It is much more akin to riding an ATV that it is a 2-wheeler. The bike does not lean into the corner and you...

erasing preset stations on a Can-AM RT-S Radio

Dave, No offense, but I have enjoyed most aspects of my Spyder. The only thing that I am disappointed in is the radio and comm system. I would have expected more for those. However, I have had nothing but good experiences with the rest of the bike. I sincerely hope you find the root of your...
