• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Ideas on how to get dual input via a 3.5 cable?

Well, I have the BRP app on phone. So far, I have not investigated operating it to see if it works. I have my SENA SMH 10 able to pick up bike, but I had to turn off BT on phone to SENA in order to get it to work, otherwise it would not pair. The XM unit is "hard wired" as it has no external...

Anyone here like planning their own routes?

I just used TYRE a week or so ago. When I opened it gave me the "update" message. So it seems it is supported. I still use the "old" Streets and trips, mainly because it will figure in rest breaks and fuel. Gives me a better idea of how long actual trip is, rather than X miles = X hours

Any Ideas on how to get dual input via a 3.5 cable?

I have a Sirius XM Onyx mounted and running thru the radio via a 3.5 cable. Works fine. I also have a mount for and older 765 Garmin. I bought a Y cable thinking that plugging them both in and the GPS would just "announce" when direction changes came up. But they don't seem to work that way. I...

Anyone running 80/100w H4 bulbs in their Ryker?

I have run HID bulbs in a couple bikes. But I will say they probably put out more heat than a high watt halogen. LED has come a very long way. I have put probably 3 sets at least in different vehicles in last several years. The last 2 pairs were better beam and focus wise.

New Vredestein Tires wearing on the inside - what pressure/what fix? Alignment issue?

Looks to be a toe issue. Have you hit something? Possibly the parking bumpers at a store or something. Maybe a curb in a turn? Very excessive camber could do it also, but it would have to be both sides so that looks to be toe. Unfortunately, those tires are done.

Spyder pricing (looking for my first) - which do you think is the better deal?

At $500 as mentioned, options difference between the 2 is up to you. I'm not up to date on the differences. As for the "drive it like you stole it". I dunno, every test drive on a bike I have had a sales person go with you, so winding it out to the chip thru the gears probably aint gonna happen...

Any compatible part #'s for this Ryker 12v Accessory Connector?

Joe at Cycle Terminal is great to work with. I have purchased parts from him for better than 10 years now. I have even sent him a picture of a part and he has been able to help me out.

Anyone here like planning their own routes?

Basecamp for me was clunky and hard to figure out. I had used Microsoft streets and trips, but it would not convert to a GPX file. But I found a free mapping source - TYRE - https://tyre2navigate.com/?lang=en It works for Europe, the States, and Canada. Converts to Garmin, Tom Tom, and some...

Battery light on after flooding - any ideas??

I'm not understanding the insurance side of this. Is it insured? If so it should be covered. It's not like you take a trip and that company does not operate there your not covered.

Spyder Adventures in Maggie Valley, NC

I dont see this being resolved any time soon folks. I'm thinking my B plan may be go over to Savannah for a few days. The wife's brother has a place over by Wilkes, and a condo for rental in Sugar. Both places are OK but man the reports of the surrounding areas is BAD. Boone and Blowing Rock are...

RTL Initial & now 2nd oil change analysis results

Hmm What types of riding habits? Short trips to store? Or 30 min or more? As mentioned shorter trips all the engine parts dont get warm enough to seal, primarily piston rings. Or the rings could be a bit sticky. Have you tried 3 or so tanks back to back with Seafoam in fuel? It will help...

Contemplating buying a Spyder - any reliability, power, and buyer's remorse issues?

I have run mine mostly on Regular fuel. I have checked mileage of and on and on my commute I dont honestly notice a difference in mileage. I have gone by the "dollar" store or Ollie's and picked up whatever octane booster they have and mix it in. As mentioned, modern ECU will adjust the ignition...

Contemplating buying a Spyder - any reliability, power, and buyer's remorse issues?

May be a bit late in your season up there. But BRP does a demo ride day. See if there might be any you could make. My wife was a couple weeks post op of a knee surgery and we made a test ride. So if she could get on it it is pretty easy. I came off a Victory Cross ,touring bike. WE have a 2019...

Top case rack OEM vs AfterMarket - differences and better option

Thanks Martin, glad I found this. I have been considering a top rack for a bit. Actually have been looking at repurposing a rack from like a KLM or something. I dont need a big rack, just someplace to tie excess jackets or maybe a cover or small bag.
