• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone got a valid reason for the High Torque settings on the brake rotor?

So I'm not sure about which bolts exactly, but a guess would be bolts holding rotor to wheel? At 64 ft lb the chart I find they would have to be a 10mm diameter and a 12.9 grade bolt. Last grade 12 metric I remember was a head bolt or caliper mount on a car and it was probably a 12mm diameter.

Review: Install and first impression for Lidlox (helmet handlebar lock)

The rain thing is what got us a couple times on another bike. So I made a 1/4" cable long enough to go thru helmets and around a frame rail somewhere. I used a disk brake lock I carried for night time thru the loops on cable. Then we stood the helmets up on seat so as to not catch rain. But...

Does anyone know the manufacturer of this trailer?

Looks well made. But judging by size of wheels and most bike trailers I have seen those are large. Maybe 14" jobs and most bike trailers run 8 or 10 or a regular like front tire from motorcycle.

What should I look for in a mesh jacket? Any Pros & Cons?

I have had a Tourmaster jacket for years and I like it well. I got it cheap, as the store had misplaced the liner for it. I picked up a Cycle Gear brand liner for cool days. A couple of years back, I picked up for the wife a Bilt mesh jacket with a quilted liner. She says it's comfortable in...

What's in your saddle bags and frunk?

So I must have a fat head or something. My XL Bell helmet will not fit anywhere but trunk. So when we ride 2 up helmets have to go in trunk. I use to carry more tools, but other than maybe a screwdriver zip ties and pliers, what can I actually fix on the side of the road?

Looking for a male connector to fit this? Need to charge GPS!

So how's this compare? https://www.cycleterminal.com/JAE-MX19004S51-MX19004p51.jpg I have been using Joe for connectors for years. Easy to deal with, and if you can't find the connector, email him and he probably can help you sort it out.

What's in your saddle bags and frunk?

Well for now, I'm just back and forth to work. So not much loaded. Left bag is rain gear, Right side is a 1/2 cover for work, and I think a couple of bungie cords. Frunk = 0; trunk = heat out head sock (moisture wicking), assorted gloves, phone charge cord. When I go on our trip this fall to...

Has anyone tried this Windshield on a 2018 F3 Limited?

Man been awhile, but then the name rang a bell from many years back. A fellow had one on his BMW. Said it worked well. And they are just up the road a bit from me.

How Wet have you ever been on your Spyder??

Yup, when you can pour rain out of your boots you know you're wet. Been there, unfortunately more than once.

Overheating 2011 Can Am Spyder RS - any ideas on fixes?

Agree some more detail would be helpful. So I read the first couple lines and it sounds like out of no where it overheated. LOL 90 deg day aint nothing. So for me I would look at thermostat. With that being said, how long after you started bike did it overheat? I dont know exact temp for T-stat...

Need to remove stripped nut on passenger handrail (F3-Limited) - any ideas?

I'm trying to remember as I just took my hand grips off to install armrest for wife. But I think the bolts just screw into a threaded hole on frame.

'08 GS with locked up brakes from sitting - what's the best way to release?

One thing we use to see in automotive brakes on older cars of say 8-10yr or more with brakes hanging up was the flex hose would deteriorate on inside. And what it does is act like a one way valve. It would hold pressure on but it could not return as fast and caused brakes to drag or sometimes...

How Wet have you ever been on your Spyder??

On my Spyder pretty wet, but its because its been 105+ heat index and shop I work in is even hotter. So only sweat. But on a bike bunches of times. I had a co-worker with me on back and pulling a trailer. WE were returning from a USAF school in Charleston SC. WE camped in Ala and next morning...

    What GPS are you using?

So I got a picture of the set up I think I'm going to use. The GPS is center and Sirrius is left. The "sun shades" are index card boxs with the smaller lid side cut off and mounted thru to the mounts to the units.

Who would have thought that Grip Puppies could make such a difference!

I was getting some wrist and shoulder pain and was pretty sure it was size of grips. Put the grip puppies on and it took care of the numbness that was plaguing me.

    What GPS are you using?

I bought a Garmin 765T years ago for a couple reasons. First was I could make my own routes on PC and import them, so I could stay off main roads like interstates and find out of the way places. Also, at that time I used it for my music source as you can download music to an SD card. I have it...

HD STILL can't get their tune up right!

Made a few long distance trips with a good friend that had a Soft Tail Heritage with Cobra long shots. After maybe 40 min to hour following him I kindly requested he follow me. And I wear ear monitors to my comms. My question for some time has been, if loud pipes save lives, they point backwards...
