• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    In-helmet music options

I have a cardo-1 system and it works great. I have a Shoe GT AIR II helmet and it works great. I tried using the built in speakers, but once you hut 40 MPH you cannot hear anything, and it can be very loud and annoying to others around you. The Cardo is great, no one knows you are listening...

How to tell if the rear tire needs replacing

I know there are lots of discussion about tires, but I am curious how to determine when I need a new tire. My read tire (is a Kenda) and looks okay in the outside but worn in the middle. The dealer I use said he will not put anything but Kenda's on it since it cannot pass Pa. inspection with a...

    Belt Tensioner - why

Thanks for everyone for the excellent explanations and the time you took to provide them. Either I am clueless to the vibration or it is not happening to me. My worry was damage creating a failure while I was on the highway far from home. Thank you one and all. Kind Regards, Jim

    Belt Tensioner - why

Hi Spyderfolks: I have been trying to search and find out more about a belt tensioner and why or if they are needed by everyone. Should everyone have one on their machine, or how would you know if you need one? I am trying to find out more in general about the reason for these and to recognize...

Cycle Gear Bilt Products - any good?

I am admittedly a fanboy of the Cycle Gear store and online. I called online with questions and received great, on-point advice. The store employees have a great depth of knowledge and are very helpful before, during, and after the sales. If you buy something it is easy to return and they...

    Liquid Performance Ethanol Equilizer

Does anyone have any experience using "Liquid Performance Racing Equilizer" in their Spyder? I was told it would remove the ethanol additives and cleanup a gummed up carb if you have one. There is a wealth of knowledge here so I thought I would solicit the group. Thanks so much in advance -...

    Helmet Recommendations

I will second the pinlock having recently purchased a Shoei GT Air II helmet. It works great. Fit is number 1 - also make sure you are buying a helmet for your needs. I watched a lot of video reviews and found out some helmets are for sport riding, some for cruising, etc. Match the helmet...

    Product review - visor pinlock

I bought a Shoei helmet which included a "free" pinlock for the visor. If you are not familiar, a pinlock is an add-on to the inside of the visor which will keep your visor from fogging up. I know there are many helmet claiming the no-fog visor. I tried it today and was really surprised at...

    Open Topcase warning?

I have this with my F3-Limited. There is a small metal tab that needs contact with the top case. Some suggested bending it slightly so there is contact and others used items such as a ear plug to create the fit.

    Which headset

I shopped quite a bit and solicited many opinions, Cardo seemed to be a great choice. I have the Cardo FreeCom-1 because I do not need to talk with others except the phone. I have taken calls on a very busy highway and no one knew I was driving my Spyder. That said, check what fits into your...
