• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Windshield Solutions

Very Happy With My Calsci My shield is a Calsci medium and I really like it. For me, it is just the right amount of protection without completely blocking the wind. Bruce

    RPM below 55 mph?

:agree: That is how I tend to ride as well. Keeps the Spyder in the power band, and the Rotax does like to rev. Bruce

New Owner and I love my Spyder

:agree:and :congrats: and welcome ! Bruce

Let me just say I'm not happy either

Ryde on, bro! :agree: The Spyder is still a brand-new product, and may still have some teething problems, but I believe it is the most innovative product to come on the market in a long time, and deserves our support. Don't sweat it Lamont, all these issues will be sorted out in due time...

Update & 2nd Update issue; Steering LockUp WHILE going 70mph

:agree:I understand that if the update procedure is not followed to the letter, it will not be properly installed, which could lead to these kinds of problems. I have had absolutely no steering issues following either update, and the second update cured the rough running/surging problem between...

    Meet Bucky

He is really cute, but I think he is actually a Queensland Heeler, not a "Healer," unless he has some mad medical skills that I don't know about...

buell - engine for the new RT ??

But Chris, the 1125 engine he is talking about is a Rotax, not a Harley. :dontknow: Bruce

buell - engine for the new RT ??

I think it was Aristotle Onassis who said, "You can never be Too Tan, Too Rich or Too Thin." I don't know about that, but I would say, "You can never have too much horsepower!":D Bruce

    Pennsylvania Road Trip

As ususal, :agree:. Do you ever get tired of hearing that Scotty? I had the same stumbling and sputtering you are experiencing, GIJoe, mine coming between three and four thousand RPM. The latest update completely cured it. It was like an instant tune-up. Bruce

    Haven't been around much....

Deb, as usual, you have a great Christian attitude. We should all take a leaf from your book when things don't go as well as we hope. Hang in there. Your Spyder will be well again one day soon, I am sure. Bruce

    SHIFTING PROBLEM

Yep, sure sounds like the GPS is the culprit. When it is defective, it can't tell what gear you are in and you will get the error message. Consider yourself fortunate. In my case, I got multiple error messages, and the Spyder went into limp home mode at a couple of inconvenient locations (on...

    Another Trikes Concept

:agree: Well said! I like eccentric vehicles too, which I think is partly why I have a Spyder. Bruce

    couple of Dayton Spyders here

welcome Dayton is about halfway between my home in London, Ontario and Gatlinburg, TN, so that is where we usually stay on the way down to the "Spyders in the Smokies" event in September. This year, we were at the Dayton North Airport Red Roof Inn. As you can see from the attached pic, it was...

    tire pressure

Sounds like a reasonable hypothesis, Tom. So far, I am pretty happy with the Spyder's tire life, :D especially after years of changing motorcycle tires every 9,000 or 10,000 miles or so.:( Bruce

    tire pressure

It's a head scratcher, all right, Scotty. I have never heard of such an approach either. I can't see checking the pressure every time I stop on a trip to make sure the pressure hasn't gone over the limit. :dontknow: Bruce

    Sticking "M" button on panel

Doug, it is located on the front of the handlebar (clutch side). Serves all the same functions as the "M" button on the dash. Bruce
