• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    215/60/15 doesn't rub on RT?

4PSI Rule - wot be that? It's a new one for me. Peter, I did a search and tried it early this morning. After 40 minutes my left front only increased .5 PSI, right front .3 PSI, and rear 1.3 PSI. I'll start off with just 2 pounds reduction instead of the recommended 4 and iterate from there. I...

Little Switzerland Thanks Thanks for the Little Switzerland link. We had a meal there a few years back and I thought the inn was a little pricey for me, but that motorcycle friendly room for $79 looks OK. I check the weather daily for Little Switzerland, and it looks like thunderstorms have...

    New Elka Shocks - Installation

Nice Elka Report Nice Elka Report, Brian. Like you I'm ready to stop spending money for a while. Paul, I'm either on the flange or too far away from the flange to be comfortable. I'm making micro adjustments back and forth between the flange and almost to the edge. Each time I'm raising the...

Drive belt tension and belt alignment

Brian, you're welcome any time. Morning works best, it's hot in my garage and my son has "stuff" in his drive under basement. That 36mm wrench is awesome. We bought a 36mm socket several years ago to replace the timing belt and water pump on my daughter's car but the muffler prohibits using it.

Drive belt tension and belt alignment

A salute to Paul A salute to Paul (PMK). As per his suggestion, I tapped the nut, snugged the nut, and rode in a straight line and the belt moved too much after about 200 feet in my driveway. I'll dial back to a single 1/4 clockwise adjustment and iterate the process until the belt looks good...

Drive belt tension and belt alignment

The adjustments continue The adjustments continue, after talking to Paul - PMK fron Royal Palm Beach. I dialed the right side back to where I started and made 2 1/4 inch adjustments clockwise, tapped the right side nut, and snugged the right side nut. Don't see any deflection off the flange...

Drive belt tension and belt alignment

I'm stuck with the belt alignment I adjusted the right side 1/4 turn clockwise and the belt was still on the flange after rotating the wheel at least 3 complete revolutions of the belt. So I started the engine, engaged the clutch and spun the wheel a few seconds. I repeated this a second...
