• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the latest & greatest 2014 RT Rear Tire?

Vredstein Quatrac :Size 205/60-15 or 205/65-15 This is what I'm using on my 2014. it had a Kumho on it when I got it, but after a year I replaced it and the front Kendas with the VrVredstein Quatracs.

Who's still out there in South Carolina?

I see that last post in this group was fairly recent, but before that it's been a while? How many people still here? I'm in the Columbia area. I'm trying to retire (again) and looking to ryde more. I've seen a link to the FB group, but I don't have FB, nor will I.

Is Shifting without using the clutch possible? SM6

Man, I'd love to find and RT with a manual trans. - I'm not nearly as fond of the SE, but it was all I could find at the time. But yeah, it shouldn't be a problem once you figure out the shift points/revs.

Anyone fab'ing a Rear Trunk removal kit for 2017 Gen RTL's?

Having disassembled the rear of my tryke to install a new "inside" saddle bag to fix a broken hinge, I can say it would be very difficult to separate the trunk from the side bags, and I wonder how much structural strength you'd lose in the process. Anything can be done if you throw enough money...

Baja Ron's new Ultra Sway bar is great! Easier to install, too!

I picked up the sway bar when I was ordering stuff from Lamonster. There was no other sway bar listed. Fortunately my brother was a mechanic for years, so he's got a really big floor jack and very tall jack stands.

Baja Ron's new Ultra Sway bar is great! Easier to install, too!

That figures, I just bought/installed the "standard" model. Only to find out I already had one. I have to say that if the BR sway bar is an improvement, I'd hate to see what the OEM one was like. But I'd have for sure opted for the "Ultra" model if I'd known. Not sure I want to go through...

Burning Smell - New Belt Tensioner

My '14 had a bit of a vibe to it at certain speeds. Didn't really bother me much, but I was ordering some stuff from Lamonster and they had the tensioner on sale. I smoothed things out even more and I'm glad I got it.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Got around to installing the BRP armrests. The right side was a real pain as I couldn't get the antenna unscrewed so I had to do it that really hard way. But they're on and look great. Waiting on the shocks to show up so we can fix the air system at the same time. Then we'll test everything out.

Need a Seat Cushion for my 2022 RTL - any suggestions?

Air Hawk here too. Buy the ReVB large - 14x14.5.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

It was a mildly irritating Saturday working on the tryke. We had three things to do - sway bar, NBV pegs and BRP armrests. We decided to tackle the sway bar first. Now some time ago, I asked on this site how would I tell if I have a Bajaron sway bar. I was told to look for the end links - if...

    R.I.P. Barney's Dealerships

That sucks. I was just at the Barney's across the Gandy Bridge from Tampa in early Dec 22 - I was looking at the two Spyders and two Rykers they had, and not one salesman spoke to me.

2012 RTS SE5 compressor issues! And how do I get at it?

Thanks - BRP calls it Congac, but to me it's burnt orange.

Thinking of buying a Spyder, but have a lot of Questions - any help please?

Maybe, but 9pm is the new midnight. Anyway, just to toss in my .02 - I have a 2014 RTS. Pretty much the same as the RTL, but less chrome. I love all the storage space on it, seems to be more of it than the same years of F3. I don't care for the SE system and would rather have a manual. I've...

2012 RTS SE5 compressor issues! And how do I get at it?

Should have put a little loctite on the set screw.

Oh my... lower psi in car tires on Spyder's really works!

Spray paint might work too, but then you have paint down in the tread till it wears off, and paint on the driveway when it comes off the tire. If you have a concrete driveway, a thin layer of water work too. A thin layer of water on the concrete, ride through slowly and see what the tread...

2012 RTS SE5 compressor issues! And how do I get at it?

It will unless there's a leak in the system somewhere.

Issue with Gauges and digital Cluster on 2014 RT SM6

No issues with the magic mirrors on mine. Yup, the minute "percussive maintenance" makes something work, a bad connection is usually the cause. I've fixed bad connections on TVs by pulling the PCB and baking it at 210 for about 10 minutes. Causes the solder to "reflow" according to the YT...

Did I do a bad thing? Put my money down on a S2S!

If you're asking my opinion, I'd say yes you did. But only because I wouldn't buy a brand new top-of-the-line model for my first one. If you ride for a while and find you don't like it, it's easier to get most of your money back from a used model. But that's me and my financial situation...
