• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    The Utopia website says their backrest for the 2014 RT is for the stock seat - not the comfort seat. I contacted Harvey at Spyderpops. He recommended that I get the OEM backrest because it fits perfectly and looks good. What he carries is apparently not right for my Spyder.

    Shift Down

    I hope you don't "break", but it is fine to brake while you down-shift without any throttle. This is assuming you are not going too fast for the gear you are shifting into. At least I can't think of any reason why not. I do it frequently.

    How do you secure your helmet when parked?

    I have a pair of Lidlox and they work well. If I'm alone, I can put my modular helmet in the frunk (it won't fit in any other compartment). When my wife is with me - also a modular helmet - and/or there is luggage, we need more. The Lidlox are quick, easy and cool pieces of engineering.

    i need a windshield

    Cal-Sci windshields is either developing one for the F3 or might have something finished. They make a really good product. I had one on one of my Beemers and it was the best windshield I've ever had - perfect fit, no distortion, scientifically designed. I'm a fan.
