• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Aftermarket Backrest for RT Comfort Seat

I tried a search, but couldn't find anything. What companies make a good backrest for 2014 RT Ltd Comfort seat (that costs less than the $449 cost of the BRP version)? Any of our sponsors? Will there be any at Spyderfest?

I have been very happy with the Utopia backrests on my earlier Spyders at about half the cost of BRP one

The Utopia website says their backrest for the 2014 RT is for the stock seat - not the comfort seat.

I contacted Harvey at Spyderpops. He recommended that I get the OEM backrest because it fits perfectly and looks good. What he carries is apparently not right for my Spyder.

If you like the Utopia backrest, I would give them a call and ask. They may have made a new bracket by now that would fit the comfort seat. On my 2013 RT, the only difference in the brackets for the two seat styles is the length of the upright bracket. (The one for the comfort seat is a bit shorter.)

Here is a picture of the Utopia backrest on my 2013 RT installed on the BRP comfort seat. I love it!!!
