• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

We are staying at the Comfort Inn. We haven't been to that particular location, but other Comfort Inns have been good.

    "nanny"

I wonder if sometimes when a ryder thinks nanny is spoiling their fun, she is actually saving their butt?

Spyder Five You said that Lamont was "one of the Spyder Five". What is that?

Multiple Sclerosis SUCKS! But living life is awesome.

Great pictures!! I'm not in a wheelchair yet, but I'm pretty sure I can see one from here. I walk with difficulty, even using a cane. I hobble out to the garage feeling old, climb onto the Spyder, fire it up, and all my physical challenges melt away. Financially, I really can't afford the...

Blow the horn and get a check engine light??

I was an Electronic Technician in the Navy many decades ago. Most of the time everything made sense and when it didn't, it was usually something simple that I missed. But once in a while, as I traced a signal through a complex piece of radar or navigation equipment, very strange things would...

Thanks Joe. That helps with my planning.

Spyderfest 2015 at The Best Western (EVENTS INFO) UPDATED 3/27/2015

Just to be sure I'm understanding this: The Eureka Springs ride will be an hour and forty five minutes to get there, an hour and fifteen minute lunch break, then an hour and forty five minutes to get back, for an approximate total trip time of 4 hours and 45 minutes. So, for example, if I was...

Spyderfest 2015 at The Best Western (EVENTS INFO) UPDATED 3/27/2015

Those are one-way distances, so I'm guessing the total Eureka Springs ride will last around 4 hours and 3 for the Ozark ride. Can anyone confirm that? We are planning a couple of non-Spyderfest activities while we are in the area and need to know the actual time for completing the guided...

    Sturgis Bike Rally, anyone?

I have a friend who goes to Sturgis every year - but he goes the week before bike week. He says its not so crowded, but many of the vendors are already their and still enough people to make it fun. Riding around the Black Hills is much more fun when there aren't four zillion other motorcycles...

    Eating Crow

You might want to get a travel cover to put on the RT whenever left unattended. It will prevent crows and other strange "birds" from sitting on your Spyder. I probably wouldn't have put mine on in that parking lot - but I would now after reading your experience.

got my first thumbs down with the F3

I wave at scooters too. It kind of shocks them at first - they don't know what to do. Hopefully, it makes their day.

    Considering the Spyder RT

I'll just add this about leg room. Having ridden all three, the RT with foot boards has more than a GL-1800 and less than a Vision. I'm comfortable with the RT, but I probably will add highway pegs sometime in the future for longer trips.

    A question for spyder riders

You and I are MS brothers. I was so sad when I had to sell my BMW K1600 GTL as it became more apparent that I couldn't ride it safely. If I had continued, it was only a matter of time before I would have dropped it. I was bikeless for about a year when my wife told me about demo rides coming...
