• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shock setting with Bajaron Sway bar

my 2012 RT came with shocks on softest setting, and with the Ronbar/links handles perfectly. I really charge the corners too. Haven't thought about changing them because it ain't broke...:joke:

    Cat-bypass Installing problems

Dunno about Jim but I didn't/don't have any heat problems for driver or passenger on my 2012, I did the cat bypass because the cat sits low to the ground and I park on leaves and grass. No asphalt drives out here on the farm. The heat issue is concern over starting a fire under the spyder...

    Eri's mods...nothing to see here

All bolt ons for now. Ronbar, Ron Heim links, missing belt guard, Pitbull cat replacement, RT-S chrome. More coming.

    CO2 inflator

I have one of the little kits that uses co2 cartridges. I also carry a mushroom plugger as well as regular plugs. Those little co2 carts work great, one cart will get a motorcycle tire up. I carry six in the spyder, the carts, filler (tiny little thing about the size of a mint), and the...

Installed. Pitbull Cat Bypass 998 twin

We used to call this stuff monkey sh*t. General public really didn't know about it, wasn't at parts stores, but all the muffler shops used it. It's a non-hardening sealer & lube...make it easy to put together, and easy to come apart, yet it seals very small leaks. Don't need to use a lot and...

Well I finally found a solution to all my Spyder Issues

Need advice on riding across the country..

Not much to add. I'm a 2 wheel LD rider. Did a couple of ironbutts (1k, 1500). I use wickers underwear. That anti-monkeybutt is the bomb, I use it for woods races too. Get off the spyder every hour or so, walk around, do some pushups if your able. Keeping fatigue from happening is a lot...

Installed. Pitbull Cat Bypass 998 twin

Video cam wouldn't play in those tight spaces, but even without instructions it was dead easy. Caveats-I talk about jacking on the bypass pipe, I didn't break a manifold or mounts, but beware of the possibilities. Use at your own risk. Mileage may vary. For landlubbers, Port is left, Stbd is...

    Elio financials..!!

I gave 'em 100 back in...um...2011 I think, when they did first round. A nice logo'd T-shirt these days is $20 plus ship, I got that, a bumper sticker, and a few years of entertainment. I don't expect to ever see an Elio, especially since the 'limited' time offer to put a deposit in and get a...

Well I finally found a solution to all my Spyder Issues

I dunno that many people 'need' a spyder, I've seen folks with a variety of physical challenges modify bikes to their needs. I still ride in woods races so I don't 'need' a spyder. I love the spyder. It's a ball of fun, it's pure rock and roll in the corners, I get my weight far over and in...

    Why Two Oil Filters?

Usually that's more like 300 miles. It's primarily a woods/trails machine so speeds are a lot lower.

Where can I find a better dipstick?

I'm still pullin for the sight glass. Even my 40 something GT750s have a sight glass. come to think of it, those sight glasses are threaded with an o-ring...I need to grab me a used oil tank and take it all down to the machine shop and see what they can do. Hardest part is finding the...

    2014 versus 2013 RT-S

For what it's worth. When I was at the dealer today getting the first service, I looked at the 2014. Sales guy with a lot of spyder miles really likes the 2014, but told me to keep my 2012. Said there just wasn't enough difference to justify the upgrade, and he knows I do 15 - 20k miles on...

Nice visit to Brewer's in Henderson, NC

Got Spidey her 800 mile service. Little over $200 with oil change. Yes...it was very late for it's 800, had almost 1900 miles on it. No evidence previous owner did it so I had it done. Only comment is that if you want full synth, order it in advance, they don't carry any 5-40 or 10-40...

    Is Lamonster CAT Bypass available

Won't be a dyno from me, if all goes well there will be install instructions and a video. I have no interest in paying for dyno runs or putting the engine through that stress to try and document a negligible HP increase. I simply don't want to start a fire under the vehicle so removing that...

    Is Lamonster CAT Bypass available

Good tips, thank you. Does tupperware on both sides need to come off or is this all done 'fromunda'? Open up the ends with a standard exhaust pipe expander? I've got a hand held 'bloggie' camera so I'll have to find some angles to set it down for the video, hopefully something of use will...

    Is Lamonster CAT Bypass available

I don't have much of a video camera but if no one has done a vid or basic install instructions I'll try and document it. I've got the bypass now so it's just a case of taking spidey apart and figuring it out

    2013 RT limited Gas Milage

I can answer about mine...I traded my 07 ultra classic at right near 50k miles and it didn't use a drop of oil and compression was the same as when I tested at 3k miles. Started running full synth in all three holes at 3k miles and never had a lick of trouble out of that machine, i just started...

    Why Two Oil Filters?

Hey....don't feel bad....an oil change on my KTM dual sport bike *is* two separate oil filter elements and two oil filter screens that have to be pulled and cleaned....and it's an every 10 hours of use service interval. Don't complain about Spidey....
