• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sturgis Rally

I haven't seen any indication they will be here... at least not where they were set up last year... no mention of an owners ride like last year... my wife and I were the only 2 owners that showed up...

    Newbie with a question regarding 2011 RT-S

Part number for the Can Am iPod cable for the 2011 is 219400187. If I read right, the newer version of the cable will not charge iPod/iPhone on the older Spyders. This cable might be a trick to find now...

    Newbie with a question regarding 2011 RT-S

You should be able to make your iPhone work. The RT should have come with 2 DIN connectors that plug into the rear trunk. One is basically just a headphone jack adapter. The other is a 30 pin Apple connector. Being at least the 3rd owner though, the cables might not be with it... eBay might...

    Reverse issue

Same agreement here... we had to replace the gear position sensor on both of our 2011 RTS's. It is a cheap plastic part that seems to wear easily. I wish someone (Lamont. ..JT...) would make a metal replacement part...

    Sturgis Rally

Corbin was there last year...not spyder specific, but have seats... other than that we didn't really look.

    Sturgis Rally

We live close to Sturgis... lots of Harleys. .. but lots of non-Harleys too. And I have noticed a significant uptick in trikes this year of all types, so far anyway... lots more 2 wheelers rolling in soon I am sure. Tons of great concerts this year. Enjoy! And ride safe. The craziness has...

I wonder where the HD riders are going?

:agree: ... especially when the HD dealers load the riders up on free beer and send them on their way... I'm frankly surprised that I haven't heard about more wrecks and deaths...

    Kids on the Can Am??

Our daughter has been riding our RT's since she was 9... ATGATT of course. She likes my wife's better as she has the Diamond R armrests. We have done several across state trips with her. She is almost 13 now.

Spyders, regular tykes and a tour bus...

My daughter took tons of pics from the back of my wife's spyder. Once the festivities are done I will find some good ones a post them up. The poker run and light show and show and shine are on tap for today.

Spyders, regular tykes and a tour bus...

So, at the Deadwood Three Wheel Rally today, my wife daughter and I decided that we need a gear lower than first. We want to call it the Harley gear for the Spyders so we can go slow enough to stay behind the the Harley and Goldwing trikes and not run them over in the twisties. We made it...

Problem with Spyderpops Longhorn Run/Turn LED's

It is very possible that one of the wires is barely connecting, or not at all...or possibly shorting due to water intrusion.

    Run Flat Tires

I think run flts typically need a TPMS is all.

    Sturgis Rally

Nothing really spyder specific at the big rally. We did get a backrest from Corbin for my wife's RT as she already has the fancy seat. But I think even those are generic... As previously mentioned, the 3 Wheel Rally in Deadwood will have the spyder specific stuff.

2011 spyder rt many faults ?

How old is the battery? Odd things start happening when these batteries start to die. The heat and stalling make me wonder if the vaccum hoses are also dried out and cracking which isn't always easy to see.

HELP -About to leave for East TN and Spyder won't start

I had a wire not seated in a harness for my HMT that caused some issues. Once I got it seated properly nothing has acted up. The harness even looked ok until I tugged a bit. The one thing I like to also do is use relays so that way any aftermarket lights are isolated from that he other systems.

OK THIS IS NOT POLITICAL YET

For starters, mountain lions in the greater backyard... hell, even in town. Darn right hard to reason with the buggers if they decide you or your dog look tasty... There is a fair amount of crime that comes up from the reservation and we do have MS13 in the area... things get a little nuts...

Aside from work, my .45 is cocked and locked on my hip at all times. But then again I live in the 2nd most free state in the nation.:yes::yes:

    RT 622 (2010) Wiring

Did you ground the trailer lights back to the battery or bike frame? That is how I did mine. With the static it sounds like something isn't maybe grounded solidly.

    RT 622 (2010) Wiring

It has been a while, but our 622 had an amber bulb under the clear lens. I just switched the bulb out and I think I had to connect a wire or something on each side as u think they were cut from the factory. I have it all in a post here somewhere but on my work lunch on my phone...
