• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Graphics - Wrap or Airbrush

:agree: When I bought mine Peter's web site was called spyderdetailing.com and that now points to the new worlclasswraps.com site. I continue to get comments on what a great paint job it is even after over 2 years of being applied.

The biker's "CODE" of friendly hello's? NOT today!!!!

Or it could be he/she was busy doing any of the other 10 things on our newly created list.

    Graphics - Wrap or Airbrush

The reasons stated above, along with the price difference, is why I chose a wrap instead of paint. I was skeptical at first, but my graphics have been in place since 2009 and still look as good as the day we put them on. I looked into custom paint before getting the wrap and the price to just...

    Got me anutter new one!!!

Docdoru told me at Spyderfest that he runs a Michelin Pilot and had nearly 70,000 miles on it and it was still in great condition. That's saying a lot with the way he rides. Just something else to consider.

Anything special required to change brake pads on these?

Thanks for the info. I am pushing 25K on my original brake pads and was planning on changing them next week. I will likely inspect them first, comparing them to the new ones, to see how far gone they really are.

    Yellow goop on bolt threads

Scotty, in this case would you recommend putting some of this back on the bolts that hold the body panels on? Just curious if it is something that will make any type of a difference.

    Cicadas at Maggie valley

I think your face shield will look pretty much like what the little green guy is doing above. Could become a bit difficult to see through.

    Yellow goop on bolt threads

What is wrong with Buzzy? I have gotten along quite well with it for several years on the Spyder. :D

    Yellow goop on bolt threads

If you take your panels off and on enough times all of the yellow will disappear. I never bothered looking for a replacement for it, as you stated it wasn't very strong at all to begin with.

How many miles were you at when you found you still didn't need to replace the rear?

NC is a mandatory helmet state, so the worry about a bug in the eye may be reduced a little bit. :roflblack:

    Shifting problems and P2806 code

I had a similar issue with my 2009 GS SE5 early on and replacing the gear position sensor resolved the issue. I haven't had any trouble since. My wife had an issue with hers a while ago and it was actually the paddle shifter contacts were not working properly. The dealer replaced that and she...

    Another Spyder Pilot

That's how the addiction spreads. It starts with "I would like to try ryding it" and eventually turns into "I need one of my own". I am sure it won't be long before you become a member of the 2 Spyder familiy, or even more.
