• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

If you took the RT demo ride post here

I also got to test ride the RT-S and an SE version of the RS at South Texas Suzuki this weekend. They did a really nice job and took us on a well organized and long test ride. Very knowledable techs too. In a nut shell, the RT is more "Cadillac-Like" and is very smooth. It doesn't accelerate...

    Another great weekend......

Did a 250 mile loop around the Texas Hill Country on Saturday. It was text book "Chamber of Commerce" weather with sunny skies and temps in the low 70's. My buddy on his Ninja commented that at every stop we get comments about how cool the Spyder is and he doesn't even look up anymore because he...

    Low speed power steering failures

Yes, I suspected my power steering was intermittent at times especially at slow speed and had read about others who never had power steering and simply lived with it for thousands of miles. When I had Update #1 done, the first thing I noticed was how easy steering was before I even got out of...

    Going for demo!

welcome I'll be at South Texas Suzuki on November 7th as well as I have an 11:15 appointment to ride the new RT. I'm a current 08 owner and love it. Perhaps I'll see you there. Look for the Yellow Spyder with the :spyder2: decals on the hood and rear fender. I can answer a lot of questions...

    Riding with a passenger?

My wife rides with me all the time. For her comfort and my piece of mind, we switched the stock seat for a Corbin with dual back rests. Now I don't have to worry about her falling off when I give it the gas. Next mod is one we saw with some friends from Houston which is an extension of the...

    My Lucky Day

Me and a couple of co-workers were walking through our parking garage on our way to lunch today and my buddy nearly stepped on a motorcycle license plate and holder. MY license plate and holder:yikes: My first thought was someone stole my Spyder and threw it in the back of a truck and the...

South Texas Suzuki CAN-AM Spyder Demo Truck

Ok, I registered for an 11:15 test ride (# 56212) then spoke to a friend who will be coming with me. I couldn't go back to the BRP web site and add a friend after already registering. Could you please save him a test ride around the same time as me? Thanks, Tony

South Texas Suzuki CAN-AM Spyder Demo Truck

That is what I was hoping for. The trailer I think will make the Spyder the ultimate touring machine with no limits on luggage, rain gear or whatever. I'll register and be there! Thanks

Spyder RT Tour In South Texas!!

I'm planning on being there strictly to ride the RT. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was something I'd be interested in. Like others on this board, I bought my Sypder at another dealer here in town, but they never responded to my request for an RT quote so my business can be won :2thumbs:

South Texas Suzuki CAN-AM Spyder Demo Truck

Can you confirm you're going to have an RT there for test rides? I'd really like to see, sit and ride one as it seems to have a lot of what I am looking for. Thanks, Tony

A Non Owners Impression after eviewing Forum

Me too. My Spyder has been trouble free as well. I've been watching the posts lately and some folks are having some apparently serious problems. That's why we come to these forums, to seek knowledge from others. By the same token, you have to understand human nature and the vast majority of...

    Great deal on spyder insurance

Yes, my first year was with Marc and the 2nd year renewal was nearly double. I went with Progressive. They did call me and ask why I didn't renew and I told them and they weren't surprised so that must be normal. To cancel with Fischer I had to send a fax and never got a response that they...

New Product Coming Soon ESI Mirror Extensions

Silly question :joke: Anyone else with Kewl Metal extensions thinking about swapping? Those extensions did a pretty good job moving them out. I was wondering if out and up would be even better. Thoughts?

Photos from our Cross Country Trip and Spyders in the Smokies 2009

Wow! What a great set of pictures. Really makes you want to take a long trip too. I especially liked the ones on Route 66 in Arizona. Little ghost towns are all over that area and a real bit of old Americana. Thanks for sharing! Great job!:2thumbs:

Texas Spyder Get Together in La Grange - Aw Haw Haw Haw

We had about eight different Texas Spyder Ryders get together yesterday at a little BBQ joint out round La Grange. They got some good BBQ. It was a lot of fun and great to see so many Spyders, as Verb would say it "outside of the dealership: :2thumbs:
