• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Engine went really HOT & went into Limp Mode - any ideas?

The fan should come on (at least mine does) shortly after hitting 5 bars on the gauge. It goes off after it drops back to 4. There are several threads that explore this topic to death. Hope it's just the relay... but you might want to find out why relays are crapping out if the situation recurrs!

cold air vs fog light theory

I removed the snorkels when I installed the Evoluzione air filter... I'm thinkin' that might make it easier to attach some duct direct to the airbox... whether routed to the fog light opening or external scoop. BTW, did you route ducting from both scoops to the airbox, or is one a dummy...

    Nut on the rear wheel?

Actually, I covered the nut wth the cap off a bottle of Powerade... fits perfectly and hasn't fallen off in almost 300 miles! (and a really cheap mod!)

    Hindle question

When you open up the airbox, you will see them. They are just two joined rubber tubes that extend 2-3" into and out of the box. Removing them just increases the airflow, making the airpath less convoluted. Some people don't like the sound (it's a little noisier) and have reinstalled them.

    Hindle question

I used a high temp silicone gasket made by Permatex available at Checker Auto (I'm sure also at any chain, i.e. Auto Zone) I spread a thin bead on the header before slipping on the Hindle... no leaks. I also put on Evoluzione's performance air filter, pulled the snorkel tubes and installed his...

    Muffler burn mark

My stock can developed a burn mark and was replaced under warranty at the 600 mile service (took about 2 weeks to get a new one in). Down side, the replacement has displayed the same burn mark, though not as pronounced as the original. (I have about 2200 miles on it.) A hindle is on order...

"JUST DROVE A CAN AM "TRIKE" AND HATED IT. "

Hodaka 125 Combat Wombat here! Was my first dirt bike and spent a lot of time in SE Ohio near the WV line. That thing had a power band about 5 rpm wide. If you were on it... hold on! However, if you got off it going uphill, be prepared to slide back to the bottom. :D

What kind of rider are you?

Started riding mostly dirt bikes in the mid 70's, then went through a few Hondas, then BMW's before having a couple unpleasant departures from the seat in the late 80's. In one I ended up in the bucket of a front loader; and the other, hanging through the camper shell and over the tailgate of a...

    Amazon motorcycle stuff

I'm down in Tucson, and do get to Phx on occaision... but there are a number of owners in Phx. as well. If one of them doesn't see this and contact you, send me a PM and contact phone/address and I will stop by the next time I'm up there. In the meantime, I will probably figure out an order...

    hindle exhaust

There is no gasket. You have to remove the stock one. I have read of several owners who used sealant to eliminate leaks. Couldn't hurt.
