• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

White knuckle test ride - can I learn to like this? Buy newish or older/cheaper?

:congrats: Welcome to our world, find some noncongested county blacktop roads and enjoy the first few hundred miles. Get all the miles in you can before our unpredictable Minnesota style winter gets started. Life is Good, Bill

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

My opinion of PB & PC Filing down the trigger on your pistol equals the PB & PC, making the reaction time quicker. It does not change the bullet or the caliber of the gun. When I was younger, quickness was my downfall. Now that I'm 73 years old, I like to take my time - I just try to get there...

1330 and Gas Mileage Review - What's yours? Anyone else tracking theirs?

Broderp, our 2020RTL is almost identical with yours in fuel mpg's and range. 41K miles with an average of 34.4 mpg riding 2-up 80% of the time. We don't baby it, but we don't beat it either. Very little interstate driving, speed limit usually, we try to run with the traffic flow. Bill

What is this strange noise?! Sunday Riding...

A strip of "Duct Tape" will take care of that noise. But the kidney punch is what has been killing me!

White knuckle test ride - can I learn to like this? Buy newish or older/cheaper?

Flying Boat, Definately the 2020+ RTL. More room and comfort for 2-up riding, you will not regret it! We have 41K miles on our 2020RTL riding 2-up 80% of the time in just over 4 years. The more we use it, the more we enjoy it. You will learn to guide it down the road, you DON'T steer it. It...

Any Yokohama rear tire users? Which?

Being a fellow Minnesota spyder owner I recommend the Vredestein over the Yokohama due to our cooler climate spring and fall. Florida or Texas maybe for the Yokohama. Personally I'm running the General, but that wasn't one of your options. Good Luck, Bill

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

A great deal of engines I've worked on over the years had water thermostats that opened at 180 degrees. If the engine is at operating temp, your oil is plenty warm enough for changing. "old school theory" Bill

Trying to decide if I want to start doing my own oil changes - what should I budget?

If it gets up to 180 degrees F, then you're good! You can change it without starting it! :ohyea: :roflblack: :roflblack: :2thumbs: MHO Bill

Rear Parking Brake Not Releasing on 2019 F3-S - is this the correct TSB?

I didn't realize that Connecticut was that flat! Someday when you come back to get on your trike, it is NOT going to be exactly where you parked it. Guess the manual shift leaving it in gear works better than I anticipated! MHO  Bill

Paint issues on 2023 RT - poor paint/clear coat quality or just normal? Anyone else?

Very soft paint with-out any clear coat as far as I believe. I've seen better quality finish on a metal scoop shovel! If I ever buy another Spyder, it will go to a body shop for top clear coats before it hits the roads. MHO  Bill
