• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

In lieu of the Block Off Plate...for heat deflection

I have a bad right leg due to Vietnam. Heat aggravates it tremendously. Baker Built Air Wings was kind enough to mold me an Air Wing Deflector, according to my specs. I had them make one side to extend to and overlap the Tupperware. The other end of the wing is open to deflect heat. The block...

Gas Cap on 2013 RT Ltd

I haven't noticed the gas smell, but am concerned this is going to get worse. I called my dealer today. He said he has another 2013 RT with the gas cap problem. They are going to replace it under warranty. Will take it by there and let them see the gas cap hot. Think I will call BRP about...

    Still trying to get comfortable

I took my 2013 RT LTD out the other day just to do emergency stopping. Those bigger brakes and ABS do a wonderful job in stopping in a straight line. BRP and Brembo got that part right.

UPDATE: Is my new machine just NOT made for those twisty-turnies?

I am not an expert by any means, but I have put over 100k miles cumulatively on my numerous trikes. With all trikes, to include the spyder, a critical part of processing the curve correctly is to attempt to keep in a straight line for as long as possible. The way to do that is to always do the...

    Shift rpms and Fuel Economy...

Since it is easier for me to read the digital speed than the digital rpm, I shift according to speed only, which also takes into effect a high RPM. First Gear 0-29...shift to 2nd at 29 Second Gear 29-39, shift to 3rd at 39 Third Gear 39-49, shift to 4th at 49...

Putting on new tires and jacking it up

On a 2013 RT Limited, what is the best way to jack up both front tires and leave them jacked up while getting new tires installed, balanced, and reattached to the spyder. I don't have a lift and am not going to use the Kendra tires. Dr. Buck suggested I pose this question to the forum, since...

Gas Cap on 2013 RT Ltd

Since getting my spyder serviced at the 600 mile mark, I am having trouble getting my gas cap off when the bike is hot. It continuously clicks counter clockwise and clockwise. With persistence, I am able to get it to finally click. The cap is also extremely hot to touch. Was not way prior to the...
