• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Durango > Telluride > Moab > Park City > Sun Valley > Missoula > Kalispell in July

Wow, I did almost the same trip last July, from Utah to Whitefish. It was outstanding. Make sure to go through Glacier National Park and do the ride to the sun. Most of the way it was hotter than I anticipated but the scenery is great.

    AAA, Your Thoughts

I've never had AAA before, but they sent me an offer in the mail and it seems almost too good to be true. $57 for one year of service in any vehicle I'm riding in. Even if I'm a pasenger, rental, Spyder, whatever. This covers tows for any reason, locked out of car service, jump start, and other...

    SC Ryders, I need advice!

Most states allow you to do traffic school, which cancels the fine and points. If not, a ticket lawyer can almost always get it changed to a non moving violation, resulting in a small fine and no points. It's worth the $100 or $200.

What is it with some people?

I ride with some guys that always give me a bad time about the Spyder and how funny it looks with "all those trunks and bags". As soon as the ride starts Here they come, "Can you carry this bag for me", "can I put my coat in your bag" "will you carry my helmet when we get out of state" "we don't...

    Some paint came off

Nothing more to say. I'm not trying to get it fixed, even though I'm still under warranty. For me personally, its just one of those things not worth going after.

    Heated grips.

Real Numbers I got the laser thermometer, which is very accurate. The various sections of the handgrips fluctuate greatly, so these temps are from the hottest point of the grips. With the grip setting on high, left grip 161.4, right grip 191.6. Then I went to the low setting, and waited 5...

    Heated grips.

Alot of good thoughts, thank you. As far as switching hands, I did actually sit in the driveway with the spyder running while I crossed my arms and grabbed opposite grips. Just wanted tp make sure one hand wasnt more sensitive than the other. I will get the laser thermostat and so I have some...

    Heated grips.

When I use my heated grips on my RT, the right hand gets drastically hotter than the left. I realize that probably sounds sounds petty, but the problem is serious. If I turn them on, even on low, within minutes the throttle hand its too hot to hold, even with a glove. I have to turn them off...

Me Too The exact same thing happened to me, and in the same place. Mine isn't quite as bad as yours. I had a piece about the size of a penny blow off.

    Spyder Dealership Recommends Harley

Not having a tire machine is one thing. Do you really want a Harley mechanic, who has probably never touched a Spyder, removing and replacing your rear wheel, tightening the belt to BRP specs, etc. Should a Spyder dealer be recommending that you do that ?

    Spyder Dealership Recommends Harley

I'm in the midst of a road trip from Las Vegas to Northen Montana. Montana is an outstanding place to ride, but more on that later. This trip is about 2500 miles, and I noticed my rear tire is pretty worn out, and fading faster than I had counted on. I went a bit out of my way to Kalispell, MT...

How much oil should a spyder rt be using

I'm also using quite a bit of oil on my 2011. I can't say exactly how much, but 12 oz every 1000 miles is a fair estimate. Heck, if it werent for the filters I wouldn't even need to change the oil. I'm continuously dumping in a fresh supply. There are no leaks and the engine runs nicely, I don't...
