• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

who said a turbo spyder could not be done?well look at this.

Whats that operation cost a guy? Does the exhaust, intake, fuel controller, etc all come with it or does it cost extra? Also, 147HP is one thing, but what happens to the torque and where is it usable? The turbo kit will take 2 or 3 hours to install. Its pretty straight forward. I bet its...

I already know a guy that has done this. GSXR 750 in a spyder.. Custom swing-arm for 400 series tire, chain drive/jack shaft... He was a little upset to find out about the Turbo coming to market for the spyder, might not have done all that to his spyder if he had known earlier. :opps:

Auto Tire on Front of the Spyder

Here is a way to make your spyder handle better - ditch the 14's and go with some 17's. http://www.spydertalk.com/forums/topic/11466-new-wheels/ night and day difference.:2thumbs:

Sweet! My Elky has a 76/.96 ar on it. Just got it running, should make 900-1000HP. But its built to handle it. On traction for the Spyder, I just bought a MT drag radial for it - going to help solve that issue. I figure a sticky/soft drag radial should last a while compared to a spinning...

There are some pics on the Spydertalk thread, but they are prototype and or mock up pics. Not to say it isn't decent stuff, just saying the final production kits will be alot nicer.

Dyno and AFR are coming. Regarding torque.. in 3rd gear my Spyder broke loose and the TCS came on at 6000RPM. And this was a 35MPH cruise and then I opened it up. So I'd say the torque is... uh... :2thumbs: I am not saying that you cant wing the Spyder to redline with the turbo, but you...

Total cost of ownership.. 16K plus 5 or 6K for turbo = 21 or 22K... Still less than half the cost of a slower tri-rod that doesn't exist anymore. ;) Tri-rods were VERY cool.. if money was no object... For that, I was looking at a T-Rexx before I found the Spyder... just couldnt bite...

LOL The Aerocharger kit is wrapped and has a heatshield over the housing. It holds in heat and keeps it off you! One thing that we've noticed - when you actually give the Spyder FUEL and your running 91+ octane, the exhaust is much cooler on a normal Spyder. The motor also runs alot...

Not arguing with you, but if you look at what Spyder performance mods cost... Mufflers (500-700) Juicebox (250) Airbox (250) O2 eliminator (75) So your at ~$1300 in performance mods and your getting maybe 10HP? We'll have to wait for official Aerocharger performance/dyno results.. but I...

As soon as RT's start becoming available, Aerocharger will be looking at what it takes to make their kit work on it.

Regarding the compression, the actually CC'd compression of the Spyder motor is around 9:1. Hence the ability to run 87 octane in it. Ken at Evoluzione also offers a new piston to make the compression 11:1 so you can run premium fuel and get the extra horsepower that you are missing. In the...

Lamonster, I spoke to Barnett Performance and in 30 days they will have a updated clutch and spring kit for the Spyder available. Your clutch worries are about to be gone... Also, this 30 days conveniently coincides with the estimated release of the Aerocharger turbo kit to the public. ETA...

    Supercharged / NOS Spyder??

Right now I am personally doing nothing though I am looking at some of the upgraded clutches that are available for the aprillia. I am about 155LBS, I dont generally haul a passenger or trailer on my spyder, I figure the stock clutch has to be decent enough if I am not totally hard on it...

    Supercharged / NOS Spyder??

Cost is relative... Meaning its one thing to spend 3 hours bolting on a turbo kit.. its entirely another to pull out your Spyders motor, go in, replace pistons, etc.. Not saying that Kens stuff is bad, just saying that its not just about cost. Plus, I can quickly return to stock and or easily...
