• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Making the decision to ride or not in rain

Here is my take on the rain gear. If you'r going to ride you will encounter rain. With that said I invested in and recommend top quality gear. I started with the Can Am Tech Plus Jacket. This is a great all around jacket that is comfy in the summer and with layers serves as a cold weather...

    WELL I THINK I AM IN TROUBLE......AGAIN

Get her a cooling vest NOW, have it overnighted and give her a belated Birthday Party tomorrow so she can have it on the trip to NYC. If you do not do something for her soon you will never get out of the hole you are digging yourself into. :yikes:

    problems keep multiplying

I do not know what your first issue is. As for the suspension, CHECK THE FUSE, on the 2012 it also controls the horn and grip heaters. I typically blow this fuse once a year for no reason at all. A lot of members here will tell you to find a new dealer whenever there is an issue without any...

    F3 in the snow

A daily rider is just that...It is no longer a show bike. I have a friend in Columbus OH that rides daily and trades every two years. It will clean up fairly well, however I beleave your winters and salt usage make Columbus look like a tropical paradise. :coffee:

    Uncomfortable cornering

After many decades and miles of riding snow machines the Spyder is an extension of that riding style. So, after reading all the above comments, on the way home this afternoon I will have to pay attention as to how I set myself up for the tight corners (curves). :dontknow: i have...

    REALLY PISSED OFF

Are you missing antifreeze? Quit guessing, take an oil sample and have it analysed. Oil and antifreeze will not mix. You may bash BRP and Rotax power plants if you wish...but, they produce world class motors of the highest quality. Don't take my word, do your own research.

$20.00 shop fee and you already charging $110.00 hour

Seams like the thread split into "Pricey Service" and "Poor Service" with no correlation between the two. Who is to say that going down the road is going to improve anything, it may be worse. My neighbors lawn looks greener than mine...I'm going to check it out!

$20.00 shop fee and you already charging $110.00 hour

Shop Rates Yes, this is a touchy subject. In 2015 the costs of employees and just doing business is increasing yearly and it appears there is no end in sight. Taxes, Taxes, and More Taxes and the accounting to go with them. Recently a lot of the costs are health care related, in a dealership...

    Spyder Just Died

What kind of battery failed and what did you get? I Got a YUSHA from Honda East on Saturday. My original battery did not fail, but... it was sluggish starting, so I replaced it. I tend to opt for the safe side of the street. :ohyea: Frank

    Beating a dead horse...?

I have never seen a post related to a Motor or Transmission failure due to an oil related issue. Any oil, any weight any mileage, anything. Dump in what you want (as long as it meets BRP specifications) and ride.:gaah:

Failing rear shock or too many doughnuts?

There is a lot of good information, from many members, on the ACS suspension on the Limited models in this thread. This last weekend the wife and I took a Day ride and about halfway into it the ACS system died (again). For the second time (about a year apart) it turned out to be the 20 Amp fuse...

At witts end with the drive belt???

I beleave the manual suggests applying a small dab of grease to the belt. This will allow it to disengage from the cogs easier, reducing the induced belt vibration. This practice should prolong belt and sprocket life.

Put some chickens in the smoker this weekend....

Here comes the Ribs and Corn. A summertime favorite. Just before the ribs are finished wrap them in foil with your favorite sauce or my favorite is sauerkraut. put them back in the smoker along with the corn still in the husks (you may want to soak the corn in a pail of water for an hour or so...
