• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Fitted an RT Sway Bar to my F3 - Works Great!

Just to be sure. I've measured from the center of the wheel hub to the floor, that's about 10 inches. So from your measurements 15 inches would be the minimum height I'd need to lift the Spyder from the floor, is that right? Because I can get a pair of ramps with about 16 inches of height, and...

Bajaron Sway Bar on 2020 RT

Would lifting the wheels of F3-S to 18" (rear wheel on the floor) be enough to swap the bars? I think I can get some ramps with jacks that can lift the wheels up to that height. Thanks.

2020 RT series are cool, but who's keeping their old Spyder

A nice renewal of the RT, but not what I'm looking for at this times, only the F3-S ticks all the boxes for me.

    Loud shifting

I'll second that. Close the throttle for downshifting, keep it open for upshifting.

    Loud shifting

How loud is loud... Mine definitely is louder downshifting. I believe the first service is due at 3000mi (oil change). See: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?128240-Questions-on-F3-S-tranny

    F3 Gas Mileage

    F3-S MY2018, 35mpg that's over a 12.000mi record. No ECO mode for me.

Datatsheet F3 - Ryker side by side

Being 60mph = 96.7km/h, from the specs 0 to 100km/h => 10.3sec/10.1sec, not 7secs right? Strangely the 600 Ryker is +0.5 faster than the 900 from 0 to 90km/h and the 1/4mi... At a 128kg weight difference the F3-S's Brembo brakes seem to be doing a superb job.

    Just curious?

Straight from BRP's online configurator F3/S = SPORT CRUISING F3/T = CRUISER TOURING And the RT might be the LUXURY TOURING. Still to me F3/T and RT seem to compete on the same market segment, and wouldn't be surprise if BRP would let down the Limited package on the F3/T or even the F3/T model.

    1330cc Questions on F3-S tranny

Just seen latest video of Shawn Smoak he does speak about the click and how they all do that at 8:02mn Except for the new RT it seems.

    Installing Baja Ron Sway Bar

Hi. I've seen this ramps with jacks that lift the wheels up to 45cm/17.7in of height, would this be enough to swap the bars for a F3-S?

    Installing Baja Ron Sway Bar

One question... Would rising the Spyder front wheels to 45cm/17.7in of height (rear wheel on the floor) be enough to swap the bars?

    1330cc Questions on F3-S tranny

Mine does it, I believe all does. Could be louder or quieter depending on a couple of factors (oil, temp, speed, rpm, how you press the shifter, if you are wearing an open helmet or not). Still I would remove the pulley cover and check for any signs of red dust.

    1330cc Questions on F3-S tranny

Took a peek under the pulley cover, no signs of red dust  Mine definitely clicks and I do feel the knock on the pegs every time it shifts. Much smoother if I push the paddle gently and keep it press for 1 second. Downshifting is much louder, but I do think it's perfectly mormal. I've...

Checking oil on F3... How tricky it can be?

Pumping oil from the engine was very straight forward and quick (took less than 2min to extract about 100ml each time), I've done maintenance on bikes before and would have probably took more time. Could have just went to him and argue with him to make it right, but i'm more than 1 hour away...

Checking oil on F3... How tricky it can be?

I think it's from here, which actually says "Oil level can be reliably verified when the radiator fans have cycled ON twice" https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?73737-Proper-Oil-Level-Verification-Procedure-on-1330-engined-Spyders&highlight=level+verification

    2-Up Question

I ride 99% of the time two up on my F3S. Mostly one day rides (100mi to 300mi) and one or two long touring trips (+1300mi), and the F3S is just perfect for me. I'll drive it almost all year as cruiser and put the cases only for a longer ride or for touring. Have SHAD side cases and SHAD...

Checking oil on F3... How tricky it can be?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Checked the oil a couple of times on leveled ground after a long ride and letting it idle until the fans turned on... and it's just below the little upper ball (max mark), so I let it be as it is. This confirms the bad judgement of the maintenance guy who likes to...

    1330cc Questions on F3-S tranny

Just paid attention on yesterdays ride... There's definitely noise on mine (F3S MY2018), specially for 1 and 2... 3 and above seems to be less noisier but then the engine roar might be just covering the transmission click/clunk noise to my ears. What I've noticed is it does get better if shifted...

    1330cc Questions on F3-S tranny

Not sure how to measure the clunk, but mine does it a bit sometimes while shifting, specially under 3500rpm. Still not the same loud clunk when going from neutral to 1st/reverse, but I do notice it. Also it seem to work better going from neutral to 1st then reverse, instead of neutral...
