• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Already have separation anxiety...

I have always made a point to create a good relationship with my dealer. And like Bob I like hanging around while my baby is in surgery. That's always dangerous though. Hard resisting the new rides!

    Tail of the dragon?

Can someone please list the other rides in the area? I'll be there in June and don't want to miss anything!

    YESSSS , AT LAST .

Welcome Mike. If you're not a mechanic create a good strong relationship with your dealer. It will prove to be invaluable. And the guys here are very helpful too. Now get out there and ride! And send pictures! Bill

    Check engine light

Check engine light came on last night. It wasn't in limp home mode and everything seemed fine so I drove it home with no problems. Had oil changed about 1,000 miles ago and I'm wondering if maybe they didn't reset the oil change clock. Does anyone know how to reset the oil change clock? Bill

    Alternatives to OEM rear tire

You guys are the best! Just found a Falken 225/50 R15 on eBay for $78. Free shipping! Looked at Kumho and Toyo but I like the tread design on the Falken better. Thanks Bob. Hopefully I won't be swapping tires every 9,000 miles now.

    Alternatives to OEM rear tire

Ok I'm asking for some input here. I'm at 28,000 miles and am about to have my third rear tire installed. I've got one friend with 14,000 miles and his original rear tire looks new. Another friend has 32,000 miles (both RT's btw) and is still on his first rear tire. What the what!? So I'm...

    Don't drag the Boss 302!

I couldn't have said this better myself. Let's try to supportive here and have fun. We all need to remember that there is no body language in emails and/or posts. So even if you're kidding it can be interpreted otherwise. Email/texting/posting is only good for having fun. So let's all...

Tell your story. What was the moment you knew you had to have a Spyder?

Call me selfish but I love reading these stories so much I am bringing this thread back to the top. Keep the stories coming. It's good reading! Bill

    Don't drag the Boss 302!

Scotty I have a lot of respect for your knowledge. All I'm trying to say in a very layman's manner of speaking is that Spyders are quick and a lot of fun. Bill

    Don't drag the Boss 302!

And touring machine or not, 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds is very quick out of the gate.

    Let's create a Spyderfest Northeast!

North Conway in the fall is beautiful but the traffic? Well that's less than beautiful. And as much as I would like to have it in northern New England we have to think about making it easy for people to get to. Someplace in NY would probably work better in terms of getting two or three hundred...

Ditto that. Mike, your contributions to Spyderlovers are fun and insightful. I really hope you reconsider. Bill

    Don't drag the Boss 302!

A quick jump at a red light is hardly street racing. And I always back off when I hit third gear and don't even get 10 over the speed limit so unless the cop is having a real bad day he would just chuckle and look the other way.

    Let's create a Spyderfest Northeast!

A second Spyderfest located somewhere in the Northeast sometime in August seems to make a lot of sense. Missouri gang I'm not meaning to steal your thunder in any way. In fact we would need your help creating it and getting your members to ryde up and see our part of the world! I think it's a...

    SPYDERLOVERS FROM THE NORTHEAST

The answer is very clear... Let's create another Spyderfest in the Northeast! We don't want to conflict with other events (Spyderfest in April, Laconia in early June, Sturgis in early August) and Labor Day Weekend is a hard one to compete with but in checking the calendar it looks like two...

    Don't drag the Boss 302!

Mike I would never drag a Cobra. Or a Shelby. Maybe if I'm in Vermont this summah you can take me for a ride in that Cobra! I'll buy lunch!

    Don't drag the Boss 302!

Humbling experience. Now keep in mind it's Florida and we have roads with stop lights and no driveways so dragging is somewhat safer than you may think. Plus 60 mph isn't even speeding so 0 to 60 is perfectly within your legal limits. Harleys like to drag - haven't lost yet. Corvette - no...
