• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    TriRod Motorcycles

Given their asking price, I don't think they sold many. Based on the ordering info, they may have gone under in 2009. I do like the look.

Re-thinking the MC after a close call

Others have stated this. You need to get back on and stay on long enough to feel comfortable with riding again. When I had my 2 wheeler totaled, I went out and bought and rode the spyder within a week. It was my best option while recovering. Again, loudest pipes you can afford, and a real...

If manufacturing is skipping the US and jumping into Mexico,,,BRP will not see anymore of my dollars. Guess a Victory is in my future.

Not a single Spyder to be found!

Ummm....where did you go? PA is a big a$$ state. Driving through Philly the other day I spotted 4 and 2 were in a lot parked next to each other.

Anyone have GlorRyder and black wheels?

PA is good about adding extra lighting and any color is accepted as long as it's not flashing or strobing while you ride. I've made a habit of carrying a copy of the Bill with me for when the local jokals feel like harassing.

Exhaust Wrapping - I'm Stuck! Need Advice!!!???

If you have a DEI kit, I was under the impression that the header coating(if that's what is in the kit) goes on first. Wraps have a tendency to retain moisture and cause surface rust. I wrapped mine in place.

Anyone have GlorRyder and black wheels?

I saw that and the thread fizzled out. Was hoping there was some new real life scenarios. May have to bite the bullet and just go for it.

Buffalo really are dangerous, yeah really

Glad that you are ok. This applies to most animals. They are totally unpredictable. Added a spyder to the corral when a deer totaled my cruiser in May. I'll be tossing some bison ribeye on the grill later in your honor :D

Anyone have GlorRyder and black wheels?

I have the RSS with black wheels and am thinking GloRyders. Are the wheels reflective enough to look good. I can ask them, but want an unbiased opinion. Thx.

    What do other bikes get?

My last new bike with FI was a Yamaha Stryker(1300 cc) and depending on how hard I pushed it would get 36-40 mpg and had a 4 gallon tank. The 883 sportster gets me about 34.

    Something Different....

Yikes...this story is reminding me of how bad Triumphs and Hardlys use to be. Time to lift the Spyder and torgue them all down.

    Got a general maintenance/trouble question

Most 2 wheelers have a lot less technology monitoring what is going on, and that seems to be the focus of many issues with the Spyder. I also find the plastic a major pain in the butt...it keeps the heat in and makes it harder to track down problems. Don't get me wrong,,I like the style, just...

    Spark plugs

After a bad experience with the plugs on a Suzuki arcing, I've made a habit of adding a little dielectric grease in the plug boot.
