• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 SM owners- Some relief

My clutch pull is perfect. There is a repair bulletin for the 2015 RT SM6 that has to do with a difficult clutch pull. I wonder if that is related to what Lamont is talking about? I can't find anything in my search. There is a diagnostic to see if your clutch assist is working: Perform...

    Oil Analysis Report

My (educated?) guess is they saw the XPS training film, which stresses that the BRP oil is 70% synthetic base stock, 15% VI and 15% additive package. Unfortunately, the oil they are talking about is the full synthetic XPS oil, not the blend. I haven't seen the 70% number used anywhere else in...

    Gas cap

It is very easy to break a key if you are not careful. I always use the thought process of "If I am trying too hard I am probably doing it wrong". Mine is difficult to close. I just gently turn the key and push down on the cap. With a little pressure down on the cap the key turns fairly easy...

    Gear chatter in neutral?

My 1330 sounds a lot quieter and smoother at idle now that it has 7,000 miles on it. When I first got it the sound it made concerned me a little. YMMV

    Magnesium-colored fenders?

I think white would really pop great. I think what makes the color fenders look good is they differentiate between the tires and the fender. With the black fenders it is a big blob of black.

    Magnesium-colored fenders?

The same level of "gloss" as the hood.

    Magnesium-colored fenders?

The fender assembly has three parts. The narrow LED holder and reflector strip. The actual fender. The two metal brackets with the side fender on the inside. All I bought was the actual fender. Item #108 in the picture below.

    Magnesium-colored fenders?

They are in the accessory catalog but the listing is very small. They don't come with instructions but they are pretty easy to figure out. See the attached picture.

    Magnesium-colored fenders?

The fenders arrived today. They took me about 3 hours to install, but I work slow. I think I need to put the black stripe on the hood to finish the look.

    Vibration.....

I did an extended test this morning. 70 MPH for around 50 miles. The black idler pulley gets warm. I ran up to 118 MPH and it didn't catch on fire. The shifting (SM6) is much improved. It was already great before so this is an unexpected bonus. I almost power shift when I shift. I preload the...

Can we have a reasonable discussion about this?

I push from the left. If I need to stop I hit the electronic parking brake.

    Vibration.....

Okay, I couldn't wait. The chores will have to be done later. The install was very easy. It literally took me longer to find my Dremel and cutoff wheel than to install the tensioner. (You need to trim a piece of plastic for it to clear.) The installation is very easy and the instructions cover...

    Recalls and updates and stuff

I found out that the Can-Am website that lets you enter in your VIN to see if there are any recalls for it is not totally up to date. http://can-am.brp.com/spyder/owners/safety/safety-recalls-vin-lookup.html I think they only list the really serious (safety?) recalls or something. I ran my...

How to remove the lateral console panel?

Here is a picture of the panel off. You can see the "keyed" portion and the latch. I agree, it is very scary sounding when it pops off.

    New low brow fender design

I think the reason they are so expensive is because they include new (updated?) supports. The stock fenders are $250 and the supports are $440. (I think those prices are right!) I just ordered magnesium-colored fenders for my F3-S. The online build tool told me I had to add supports to the...
