• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Wheelie

The rear wheel loading is so low that traction is the issue. Even on the tackiest surface the rear tire spins. (I haven't tried a drag strip, yet.) You see fat tires on F1 cars but they have thousands of pounds of downforce from the bodywork. Without the downforce they'd blow the tires. We...

    F3 reliability and related

I've had my F3 for 2.5 months and 5,500 miles so far. It has been utterly reliable. "Character" is a term used a lot to describe unreliable stuff. If so, I prefer less character! The engine and chassis are a clean-sheet design so everything Can-Am has learned over the years has to have been...

Shawn Smoak Part 2 1330 Engine Oil Change

BRP's full synthetic oil is 70% synthetic base stock. I really doubt the blend is the same percentage. Note the red circle that I added in the picture below.

    Gauge spoiler?

After installing it I am impressed with how secure it is. The front clips onto a solid metal bar and the rear is held to the cluster screws with two nice bushings. I doubt I will remove it for cleaning even though it would be very simple. I expect it to get pretty dirty underneath. It looks...

    1330 Spark plugs

FWIW, I just looked in the service manual for my F3 (ACE 1330) and it doesn't mention applying anything to the spark plug threads.

    1330 Spark plugs

I can't answer your question. However, I have a habit of checking my spark plugs on all of my vehicles about every 25,000 miles. I do so because I don't want the spark plug to seize in the head. By removing the plug it helps prevent this. Since I have the plugs out anyways, I may as well...

RPM range for best MPG and Gear

Your RT is geared about 10% higher than my F3, so YMMV. From: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?80552-USING-THE-ECO-MODE-1330-Engine&p=1011676#post1011676

    Newbie, potential F3S owner.

Maybe a battery too low to crank the starter but strong enough to boot the ECU and power the fuel pump? Or maybe the starter goes bad? I dunno. Like I said I haven't had to bump start anything in a long time! :joke:

Can you bump start with the SE6? I haven't had to bump start anything in a long time, but I like having that option.

    Ella Front Shocks

You need to remove the front panel and grille. The side panels you are talking about have 3 pins that are visable, 1 pin near the shock that is hard to see and 1 screw near the shock. Here are some pics of everything removed:

    Mirrors

My arms are parallel to the ground so I have full view of both mirrors. They are not even close to being adjusted too low. I see my elbows in the top 10% of each mirror. They are the best mirrors I have ever had on a bike, by far.

    Gauge spoiler?

The BRP catalog picture for the gauge spoiler is pretty small. http://store.spyder.brp.com/product/896090/219400531/_/Gauge_Spoiler How secure is it? How does it mount? Does anyone have the instructions they can scan? I'm tired of all the bugs getting all over the instrument cluster! FWIW...
