• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Very Strange.......

OK. Well, please share. Because that's what I used to open it. Nothing in the tool bag fit it.

    Very Strange.......

I discovered that the battery on the 2014 RT is in the frunk. I find it strange that there is not a 4mm Allen wrench in the BRP tool kit. How do they expect us to access the battery compartment on the road? Does anyone else find this strange?

    BajaRon Shock Adjuster install

What does it take to install Ron's adjusters? I've never taken the springs off before. Floor jack, I assume? Any Tupperware removal? How difficult a job? Any advice for us non-technical DIY'ers?

    Questions on Modular Helmets

Go to a shop and try them on. They will fit tight, but will loosen up over time. Love my modular in cold weather and rainy weather. All other times I wear a half helmet. Just remember, you don't have to spend a fortune. Just make sure it's a DOT approved helmet and you're good to go. I got...

    Blown Fuse ????

Just curious. Any reason why this won't work? Plug my air compressor into this device, which hooks up to the battery. If so, this is a pretty cheap fix.

Portable Air Compressor for 2014 RT-S

I'm actually considering this one. Only 4 amp draw. Very portable. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=201040716069&globalID=EBAY-US As I said, the Slime worked fine on my 2012. For some reason, the newer models have a lower amp fuse on the 12 Volt in the rear trunk.

    need Infor on dealer

I have gone to Honda Winston Salem same day for a tire replacement, and they had me out in no time. They should have it in stock and have you on the road in a couple of hours. Get there about 8:45, as they open at 9:00. Great dealer!

Portable Air Compressor for 2014 RT-S

I carry this battery charger with me also. What portable compressor do you use? It can't be rated over 3 amps for use with the 2014 RT.

Portable Air Compressor for 2014 RT-S

Ran into a problem with my Slime portable air compressor. Worked great with my 2012 RT, but blows fuses on my new 2014 RT-S. It uses 15 amps, and the rear 12 Volt plug is 3 amp rated. What do you guys use for a portable air compressor with your 2014 RT's?

    Blown Fuse ????

Thanks, guys. How do I make this 12 Volt a 15 amp circuit? Is it advisable to move the 12 Volt to a blank, then insert a 15 or more amp fuse? Can this be done?

    Blown Fuse ????

I think I may have found my answer. The manual says this 12 Volt is 3 amps. OK, so I replace my fuse. I can do that. Another question --- I carry this portable compressor with me. Say I need it on the road. How do I make it work? My 2012 RT didn't have this problem. Why is the 2014 such...

    Blown Fuse ????

Just got my new 2014 RT-S, and was needing to inflate my tires a few PSI. Took out my Slime portable compressor and plugged it in to the 12 Volt outlet in the rear trunk. Nothing. Turned on the bike, then it worked. Worked for about 10 seconds then cut off. Now I believe I may have blown a...

    My New RT !!!!

Picked up my new 2014 RT-S SM6 this week. Traded in my 2012 RT with 24,000 miles. It was hard seeing my old friend left behind, but I think I'm really going to be happy with this one.

    Too Good to be True?

I agree that we need to support our local dealer. But for some of us, $8,000 is a lot of money, so we need to go where the best deal is. The local dealer service department will still get our service business. There is more money by servicing the bike in the long run than the upfront sale.

    Too Good to be True?

There are definitely some great deals out there. I'm taking possession of a brand new 2014 RT-S next week, for $17,999. It's worth a 5-1/2 hour drive for a deal like that. So if your local dealer can't match a deal like that, I say go for it before someone else does. Good luck!

    BRP Trailer Hitch and Harness

I'm hearing conflicting reports over whether the 2012 hitch and module will work on the 2014 RT. Looking at the hitch and module that I have installed on my 2012 -- part # 219400432, is the same kit as specified for the 2014 on the BRP store web site, why would there be any confusion? Any...

    BRP Trailer Hitch and Harness

I have a 2012 RT. Looking to upgrade to a 2014 RT-S. Will the hitch and harness transfer over, or does the 2014 use something different?
