• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Air compressor

I would like to see what others say about this. But what I'm thinking about using is a compressor and adapting an EZ Air Tire Pressure Gauge & Inflator. Can't post a picture now, but it's being sold on eBay. You can see the pressure that you are at, and has the bleed valve built-in in case you...

    Rear Air Suspension for RT

I've actually been looking at the Porter Cable pancake compressor. 6 gallon tank. 1.4 HP (I think). 125 psi. Wasn't sure if this would be big enough or not. I will ill ask my tech why it seems to leak out.

    Rear Air Suspension for RT

I ride 2 up most of the time, and notice after a few weeks that the rear air suspension goes down. I have to go by the gas station to fill up the air to my level that I like it. I also have to add 1-2 psi of air to the tires every month or so. I guess this is just due to the extra weight on...

    Heel & toe shifter

I'm pretty sure that Seal sells a floorboard meant to go on a SM5. You shouldn't have to do a thing to it. I was looking at the Seal board, but decided to save some money and got Inspector Gadget boards. It came with the heel toe shifter. I love it! Makes driving easier, changes gears much...

    Yamaha of Lumberton

I live 15 minutes from the Winston-Salem shop, but prefer going to RPM Cycles. Never done me wrong. Tech knows his stuff.

On Top of Mount Washington, N.H.

I've been to the top 2 times by cog railway. Would love to ride the Spyder up there. I bet that was fantastic! Thanks for the post.

14,000 mile service, and first "shakedown" ride

My 2012 came from RPM Cycles. They have done the 600 and 4600 mile service. Getting ready to take it in for the 8600 mile service in a few weeks. I really like the tech. He takes his time and makes sure the job is done right. It's definitely an ease of mind knowing someone that knows their stuff...

Stupid Question: No Right Hand Grille?

I like the looks of the RH grille, and am looking at adding both an upper and lower grille. I really like the Spyder web design. Question -- Since BRP intentionally left a grille off, am I in any danger of not allowing the heat to escape by covering up those holes? I don't want to add...

    Rt 80 The Devils Whip

The wife and I are spending the weekend in Linville Falls. We rode some of Rt 80 today. Very nice and twisty. The Spyder handled wonderful! We also rode up to Roan Mountain in TN. Went through the towns of Kona and Bandana on 80, then hit 226 to circle around to Roan Mountain. Quote chilly...

    Ride to Rock out Alzheimers

That's not right! I also read that they leave at 10:45. I was planning to go, but the wife came down with a bad cold. Just didn't feel like making the 2 hour trip. If we would have gone, we would have missed it as well.

    Ride to Rock out Alzheimers

Cool. I'm thinking of going to this one. I've ridden in several escorted rides, and they have all been great. I rode in a non-escorted ride 2 weeks ago, and it was good, but kind of disorganized. Certainly helps when cops can block off the traffic. Hope to see you there.

    Ride to Rock out Alzheimers

Any idea if this is a police escorted ride?

    North Myrtle Beach, SC

Just arrived at North Myrtle Beach for a long weekend. First time taking our RT here. Cruising the strip, and saw another RT with a couple ryding. Exchanged a nice wave and horn blow. Great to see a fellow Spyder owner here. Hope I see many more the next few days.

    RT Trunk Luggage Rack

Does anyone have this particular luggage rack? http://www.compacc.com/p/Show-Chrome-Trunk-Luggage-Rack-Can-Am-Spyder-RT Price is much less than the other ones I've seen. Just wondering if less expensive is any worse? Also, it would be real nice if someone made a luggage rack that didn't...

    Charge for software update?

I had my RT in for its 4600 mile service. I had a limp mode a few weeks before, so they hooked it up. Said it would be an additional hour and a half labor for them to do that. Bike was in shop for 2 hours, and they charged me 3-1/2 hours labor total. Not sure that was right, but they told me up...
