• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well, it's a word that begins with "L," that's true... Actually, you are *licensing* the software. You do not purchase it -- therefore, you do not *own* it. But you possess a license to use it per the terms -- and gosh knows, they make gripping reading -- of the license agreement. The...

    Driver's Course Promo

Worth your money -- especially at $50 I can't speak to the transition for an experienced rider, but for this total novice, I felt like the course was basically a two-day test drive of the Spyder, albeit under tightly controlled conditions. You certainly won't get the sense of rural/highway...

Here at Coyote Powersports we are excited to announce that we will be having THREE DAYS of demo rides at the dealership during the Spyder in the Hills Rally! You can be one of the first to ride the new Can Am Ryker and the 2019 Spyder...

Why We Live Where We Do

Navy Brat --> Wanderlust My father was in the Navy, so... my mom, two sisters and I were in the Navy, too. Born in Charleston, SC, and in rapid succession lived in Newport, RI; Norfolk, VA; Pascagoula, MS; Norfolk again; Charleston again; Rota, Spain; Monterey, CA; Athens, GA; Yokosuka, Japan...

Hope this isn't out of range of discussion

To address your question, no, you do not require a phone with Bluetooth enabled to use a Sena unit -- my wife and I use the 20s and it works great for us. Everything you need to do from a headset to headset communications standpoint is available on the unit itself. Mind you, you'll get a lot...

Can Am Reducing MSRP Across The Board

Reading that a slightly different way, you paid $800 more for essentially the same vehicle? (Acknowledging the role of rebates/reductions.) Agree that will squeeze 2018 owners for a bit, but seems like an effective price increase to me from the dealer's standpoint.

    Cell phone holder

So, I've purchased the dual USB charger unit from Pierre at CanAm Spyder Accessories, but haven't installed it yet. (Me + Electrical Handiwork = MEH) http://www.canamspyderaccessories.com/dual-usb-charger-rt-st-blue-led/ There's an open slot amongst the four switches below the handlebars of my...

    Cell phone holder

Are you wanting a mount for it -- that is, is it a smartphone that you want to be able to see on the dash or on your handlebars, or do you just want a safe spot for it besides your pockets? If the former -- see my signature for my personal recommendation. I have the Techmount TechGripper...

Thought I'd try to do your pictures justice.... It was hurting my neck to see them! ;)

    So it's called the Ryker!

Piling on with little details... It's about a foot shorter in length than the F3, and the seat is about 3 inches lower.

    $10K Spyders for 2019

The Ryker https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/experience/ryker/discover.html Looks like they're posting it as I type this. It looks like a much lower riding position -- er, center of gravity.

    Bye, bye stick-shift

All of our family cars were stick shift -- I learned on a 1965 Volvo that my father bought for $300 with about 200,000 miles on it. Sold it for $200 a few years later with over 300,000 miles on it, a fair number put on by me over the protests of the transmission. It was an old school four on the...

    Frunk warning

+1 - No frunk warning  In the early days of ownership, when I was thinking of every excuse to use the Spyder to run errands, etc., I picked up a couple of picture frames at a store, thinking they would fit. They didn't, so I drove home with the frunk pulled as close to shut as I...

    Which one? RS or F3?

+1 on the Sarge's advice I came to Spydering with basically zero motorcycle experience, so I couldn't have articulated what I was looking for in ride, but was leaning toward the RT due to the configuration/options. I was fortunate to take the ryding course on F3 units, and then test rode an...

Closeout Sena 20s at Cycle Gear

Just got the latest email from Cycle Gear and noticed they have at least one Sena 20s unit available in their clearance section for $199.99. I expect Motorcycle Dave could have beat that price when he had them in stock, but they're getting hard to find new, so just in case...

What cup holder works for you, on an RT Spyder?

No swivel on the Drink2Go You can set it up at an angle of your choice (within reason) when you clamp it on there, but the normal position is (to me) the best choice. It doesn't move, and if the rear end is leaning enough to dump something out, we got a whole lot of other problems!

    Commentary - Bob Denman's signature

Not as good a beat as Buck Dharma's version... ...but it hits the spot. Ozymandias, by Percy Bysshe Shelley I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand, Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose...

loisk, I didn't want to hijack your thread....

You're talking about it a day later, right? That's the reason. It wasn't a funeral, it was a gig/promotional opportunity.
