• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT-S Automatic Suspension Control and Schrader

This was my concern Thanx Toy ... Your statements echo what I thought. Problem is, when I start the bike, the bike doesn't raise or lower ... at least that I can note. I remember when the Spyder was newer, I would here the compressor "hiss ... hiss" frequently early on in the ride. I've not...

RT-S Automatic Suspension Control and Schrader

Okay ... Last Thursday I had my RT in the shop to do the 2010-6 bulletin on rear suspension re-calibration. What led me to have the inspection/re-calibration done was potential shock topping out if I pressed hard on the trunk. They performed the tech bulletin; I picked up the Spyder the same...

    Hand gesture.

Cool Oh yeah ... if that's the context I'm all for it. Problem is, on the occasions I've not been on my Spyder and I see one go past, I'm usually too busy pointing it out to the person(s) I'm with exclaiming, "Hey look! There's an RT like mine! ... or "There's an RS version of what I have!"...

Why are you going to the Owners Event in Maggie Valley?

Why I'm Going It came to me one night in a dream .... Jim Morrison and a naked indian .. and Sammy Davis Jr. ... telling me I should .... ... But seriously folks ... I had been originally bent on making Spyders in the Adirondacks in July ... and I will make that event perhaps next time it...

    Hand gesture.

Just blend with other motorcyclists ... I was just thinking when I first saw the Illuzion's Spiderman example, that the gesture is a modified 'devils horns' thing like the Hollywood set (remember Richard Dawson from Family Feud) used to do in the 70s. ... And indeed, some might have just as...

    Kuryakyn Grips

... and Nuthin' for the RT Kuryakyn continues to be a total failure in support to the Spyder RT SE5 line. The only solution is the Goldwing 1800 clamshells that cause you to have to cut down your stock grip and grind down your SE5 shifter. This pretty much has nothing to do with the focus of...

    Spyder, AKA Black Widow

Seth, you are definitely the aggressive exception and not the rule, young knight. I am not saying you cannot shift efficiently with your throttle pegged (exception). I've done it. I am trying to assist the author of the original thread. I know exactly the characteristic he speaks of because...

Corbin RT Seat (Heat under seat) Question

mmkayyy ... I've got one in agreement, Toy laughing at me (luv ya Toy -- I actually have some Nomex leftovers from my vacation in Iraq) and freebob listening intently. I know we all love our Corbins ... I would just find it difficult to believe I'm the only one going, "Why does the inside...

    Average MPG for the RT?

RE MPG So much depends on ryding style, your weight and what one has loaded on the Spyder. I have a 2010 RT-S. Recently, have been filling up with precise measurements to check mileage. In mixed driving (commuting), I am filling up at about 142 miles. In my last two fill-ups, I topped off...

Corbin RT Seat (Heat under seat) Question

Up front: Love my Corbin RT seat. I stand at the side of the Spyder and find myself ogling it alot. I've got everything set up with seat and backrest perfectly. Position and handling of the Spyder are totally stable. So here's the issue: I've noticed with the Corbin seat, the heat that...

    Spyder, AKA Black Widow

Pause When Shifting I'm going to assume based on the writer's post that he/she is ryding an SE5 model. When I was first learning the finesse of using the SE5 shift lever/paddle, I was simply accelerating and shifting on the upward curve of rpms. I did not ease up on the throttle as I...

    Corbin Seat on an RT

Corbin I've had my Corbin RT seat on for a week and a half. Mahhh-velous. It sounds like you'll be doing a drive-in appointment and installation. I installed mine myself, and conveyed my height, weight, inseam and even taped my butt. Seat fits well. Love the backrest, although you have to...

Question: Spyder RT-S w/electronic ride adj

Collective Genius Thanks for the info and pointers guys. Pulled up Bulletin 2010-6. Yup ... who'd o' thunk. I have an appointment to ride up to Petes Cycle in Baltimore on June 9th. Gotta get 'er done befor Maggie Valley for sure. It isn't necessarily that the shock needs replacing; it's that...
