• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Mike & 3069 Reunited

Tire report I got another almost 300 miles on the new tires today. I really like the new Falkens better than the stock tires. There were a couple of things I noticed that are different with the Spyders handling now. On the beat up Vermont two lanes roads with all kinds of pavement vatiations...

    Heel Braking

I do this same thing with my simple floorboard design. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5511 I don't need the extension because I don't have the highway pegs installed. This allows me to use the standard peg (toe) or the floorboard (heel) with the standard brake lever.

I like the way you adjusted the fender. I will look at this closer. Here is a pic of the Falken 912 without the fender adjustment:

Looks exactly like the one I got 2 years ago from JC Whitney. I got the large for $89 and it works great, so looks like this is a good deal.

    Mike & 3069 Reunited

I'm out of ski country and reunited with :spyder2:#3069 for the summer. Went for a 175 mile test ride yesterday with new Falken ZE912 185/60/14 tires mounted up, set with 25 PSI. Headed into WV and took 65 south to Delbarton, then did the GPS ramble (touch the screen in the middle of...

    Belt tension

I asked this of a BRP engineer at homecoming in Valcour. Answer: No. It will change the RPM where you feel belt vibration if you change the tension. It will not skip teeth because of the large number of teeth on the front sprocket.. Mine has been running "loose" since before that discussion...

    Code P0520

I had the same issue. A bad sending unit was the cause. I had my dealer send the part and installed it myself as I was 800 miles away at the time. While I waited for the part, I simply unhooked the wire from the sending unit and was able to ride the :spyder2: with no problems or codes. The...
