• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have run out of patience with BRP.

Yet, we are expected to advertise for BRP at every stop for fuel or to rest.:dontknow:

Is your Spyder your primary mode of transportation

The sad thing is with a $30k machine the consumer deserves better than what some have received. I have my fingers crossed that I do not end up broken down for weeks at a time. If lemon laws covered them I bet there would be less feet dragging.

    Salesman with no knowledge

I always consider the service department as the most important part of any vehicle purchase. My dealership has an outstanding service department with a factory trained technician I have confidence in. I sometimes wonder about the folks out front, though.

Are you ready to hear about the 2012 lineup?

You might try Bradfordmarine in Texarkana. My recommendation would be Cowtown in Cuba, Missouri and Len will take care of you.

    Len - THE MAN!

We were traveling and decided Elka shocks were essential to our new Limited. I called Len and talked at length. He gave us a great deal and the shocks were waiting for us when we got home. It is obvious that Len loves his job and helping Spyder owners. I guarantee you that Len will sell us our...

    Rear Tire again?

My dealer's service guys told me they will only mount and install OEM tires.

Is your Spyder your primary mode of transportation

I wish we were closer to CowTown. They may see me when it comes time for the 12K maintenance if they can get me in and out in the same day. I expect Len will be selling us our second Spyder, because as a man I cannot see me being the passenger behind "she who thinks she must be obeyed."...

Did I get a good price

Bradford Marine has "No Haggle pricing." So, the price they have on the machine is it, period take it or leave it. Fortunately, we caught them on a "Red Tag" weekend and saved about $2K off of their regular price. Sales tax in Arkansas will blow you over, though.

    New Member possible New Owner

My wife and I just finished a 1,600 mile trip on our 2011 Limited. The Corbin seat was worth every dime. We fought wind both directions. Elka shocks would have made the ride so much more comfortable -- that is now corrected with new Elka shocks. Cruising at 75-80mph is a piece of cake now. I...

Is your Spyder your primary mode of transportation

The maintenance and fuel costs are higher for the Spyder than my Corvette. Spyder maintenance is far higher than for my Ford Platinum 4X4 Super Crew or the wife's Ford 500. I almost never drive anything other than the Spyder, though. Spyders are high maintenance rigs that are fun to ride. I...

Do you wear a helmet? Your choice?

I have three and the wife has two. We may still end up with another pair. Being retired military and the wife being a reservist I suspect any accident without a helmet on would result in problems with Tricare. Being a former police officer I have seen enough accidents to be a believer in...

    Poor Service Poor CanAm response

I bet customer service in these sorts of cases would improve immediately if there were lemon laws on these machines like there are on cars and trucks.

Is your Spyder your primary mode of transportation

AFAIAK your Spyder should be treated as your primary mode of transportation. That is by BRP and their dealers around the country. I see so many threads where is seems like folks feel it is okay for their Spyder to remain at a dealer for parts or repairs for a week or longer (sometimes very...

Beauty & the Beast (Burgman 650 vs. Can-am Spyder RTS/SE5

No, I would not go backwards in year models. Plus, the color we wanted was not available. I'm one of those guys that will not buy leftover models from the previous years, just a personal policy of mine. That's part of the reason I am still so :cus: at Bradford Marine for sticking me with the...

Beauty & the Beast (Burgman 650 vs. Can-am Spyder RTS/SE5

I wish we had kept our Burgman Exec as a second machine, too.:( We put a deposit down on a new 2011 Stallion a year ago last month. In April the dealer let me know that no 2011s would be built due to issues with a replacement Ford engine at the factory and delivery would not be before October...

    B.E.S.T. Plus question?

My dealer did not offer any BRP branded warranty or maintenance program. They only offer their own extended warranty and it is very expensive and does not cover any scheduled maintenance or normal wear items.

    Spyder RT Seat Replacement Options

We have put almost 3,300 miles on our 2011 RT in the past two months. 1,600 in the last week. Without the Corbin saddle I am not sure I could have done it without being miserable. Corbin gets my vote for a best mod.

    New NWA Spyder shop

I finally got to meet up with Gary and I spent a number of hours in Gary's shop yesterday. He serviced my 2011 RT, installed new oil plugs, torqued everything, did all the checks, installed the Corbin arm rests, and Elka shocks. He keeps an immaculately clean shop and his attention to detail...
