• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My spyder is 2 weeks old already in the shop

As I said in my original post, I greatly admire the loyalty you folks have for the bike and BRP. I enjoy my Spyder very much. I just don't trust it. Maybe with time this will also change.

My spyder is 2 weeks old already in the shop

Isn't it a shame that all we read about is what is crapping out next on the Spyder. I have never heard of a bike with such a huge list of problems. Steering recalls, brake recalls, spontaneous fires, inferior shock cams, various sensor failure, oil blow by, etc., etc, etc. I think we all have a...

A little heads up on the software upgrade

Am presently on a riverboat in Germany headed for Budapest. Have complete internet service in my cabin so can keep up with what's happening in spyderLovers Land. Will have the steering recal done when I get home. Right now I think I'll have another white wine.

    Radiator fan relay failure

    12,000 miles checkup

Maintenance of Spyder. I have decided that I am going to treat my Spyder just like any other motorcycle I have owned in over 60 years of riding. Change the oil and filter every 3000 mi., keep things in adjustment, ie the belt drive, top off fluids as needed and then just drive it. If the damn...

BRP new comfort seat best place to buy

Tri-tip Visited SoCal a couple of years ago and had a grand time sampling the wines etc. Tried the Tri-tip for the first time . It was so tough you couldn't stick a fork in the gravy. I am sure there is a way to cook this highly recommended cut of meat so that it is outstanding. Any...

Comfort seat Got mine from Zack - $360 delivered in about three days. Installation was pretty straight forward but I am having trouble geting the locking post from the original seat to seat properly. It seems to be offset about 1/2 inch. I don't see where there is any place for adjustment...

    Oil light?

Spyder Problems Has anyone in all their years of motorcycling ever had a bike that required all the adjustments etc that our Spyders have? What ever happened to the "fire it up and ride" concept. My Spyder runs just great, but I shudder at all the problems some of you are having. You all...

Did the belt drive adjustment --

Belt adjustment I am still using the old "if you can twist the belt 90 degrees at midpoint by hand" you are in the ball park. So far, so good.

    Lamonster sighting in San Diego

El Cajon brings old memories When I was a young sailor in San Diego in the 1950's, I visited the BMW dealership in El Cajon. I was amazed to see that a new BMW R69S cost $1001 out the door. In my infinite wisdom, I announced that no one would ever pay $1000 for a motorcycle. How times change!

Brake screeching w/ less than 350 miles

Had the new brake pads installed by my dealer. They are much stronger than the original ones were. However, when I back the bike out of the garage, it absolutly screeches! Put it in first and drive off - no noise whatever. No big deal except that I sound like I am wringing some cat's neck...

    Spyder Wandering

Black Widow's posting was right on. When the road drops off the front wheel on that side will drop also. This will case the Spyder to dip in that direction. When the road levels off again, the bike will come back also and all is well. Just relax and let the bike take care of itself. I will...
