• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Fuel gauge replacement

Went to gas station for a fill-up and on the way home, a 2.2 mile trip, the gas gauge went south again. First showing about half full and then going completely blank. Took the machine back to dealer who questioned how many miles I had driven it since the repair. It was then that I discovered...

    Fuel gauge replacement

Apparenly, the job to replace the fuel sensor and related parts is a real bear. Everything under the Spyder's skin is so compact that repairing anything is extremely problimatical. Got my Spyder back today and all seems fine. I guess that I thought if the factory job time was 1.3 hours, how...

    Fuel gauge replacement

Fuel gauge started to get erratic and would show low fuel light 2 miles after fill-up. Dealer got the new fuel level sender in and I took the Spyder in this morning. Estimated time to repair was 1.5 hours. Called later in the day for a progress report and was told they had been working on it...

    Red SE5 Spyder

The Spyder dealer in Leesburg, FL has a whole bunch of Spyders on the lot. Several of which are Red automatics. It seems that BRP is having a big blowout of demo rides at a really neat mansion on a lake in the next week or two. Catered meal etc. Plus a 50 mile demo ride through some real nice...

Riser MSRP is in! Pre-orders now being accepted

Have read all the postings on the risers and how much everyone likes them. I have the original windscreen on my Spyder which gives me quite a lot of wind on my chest. At road speed that provides just about the right amount of lift to my body so that the pressure on my arms and wrists is...

    Fall shutdown

Just a comment - Recommend you double the amt of Stabil in the gas. I have stored bikes in Maine for years and the double up on Stabil really works. In the spring, just hook up the battery, hit the starter button and away you go. Jack H.

    The Funniest SH-t Ever

Come on. Wave at all two wheelers. I started on a Whizzer bike and then graduated to a Servicycle and finally to a WWII surplus Indian Scout. That was over 60 years ago. We are all brothers under the skin regardless what we ride. Keep the shiny side up! Jack H.

    hindle exhaust

Installed Hindle today Installed my new Hindle today with 3560 miles on the bike. The installation went well. The one tough job was the removal and reinstall of the spring holding the mufler to the manifold. Thank heavens for vise grips! Bike sounds wonderful! Low throaty rumble . I am...

    Gas gauge display failure

Filled up yesterday in anticipation of Tropical Storm Fay. After fillup, the bars on the gas display went to 0 and the warning light for low fuel came on. Got home OK and shut off and turned on the ignition several times. No joy. A couple of hours later it worked fine. Today I had no bars...

    SE5 unsold in Maine dealership

Stopped into a Can Am dealership while traveling in Maine yesterday and lo and behold he had a yellow automatic Spyder on the floor for sale. No waiting list or anything. Price was a bit more than for the standard shift model. $300 for freight and dealer prep (Good price!), $65 for tag and...

    initial oil consumption

What a pain in the butt! In 60+ years of riding, this is the most complicated protocol for checking the oil that I have seen. It is like counting the **** and dividing by four to see how many cows are in the pasture.

    Motorcycle Ride for DAD

    Wasting time...

For SpyderMark - I enjoyed your quote from Top Gun. No one who has made a career of the armed forces of the United States has anything but huge respect for his fellow comrades-in-arms regardless of which service branch was involved. Glad to make your aquaintence, Master Sergeant!
