• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    my Spyder is here...sorta

Delayed Spyder Pick up I know the frustration of waiting for your Spyder to be assembled. Mine came in and was assembled. I was called to come pick it up. Upon arrival and after paying the balance due, I was told that the keys (Both sets) had been misplaced somewhere between the service area...

Cutting bars no big deal! Loose NO WAY!

I don't seem to have a problem with the original position of the handlebars, although that may be because I hanen't tried the risers yet. I have a real problem with the seat though. I suspect I will have a Russell Day Long on order before long. I have used their seats on a number of bikes in...

    Ride-On Great Product!

I used a tire sealant in my Beemer about 20 years ago and ran over a piece of construction 2x10 with spikes in it. I was on the interstate at night and hauling it. I had three spike holes in the rear Michelin and I did not lose pressure. I was able to get home (at a much reduced speed) and...

    initial oil consumption

Oil Consumption Just checked my oil after reading these posts. I checked it cold and the oil was in the middle of the dipstick. I then rode the machine until it was at operating temp. Pulled the panel off and checked the oil. The oil was very frothy on the dipstick, but was a bit higher on...

    Riding Gear?

Got rear ended at a stop light a few years ago. Was rammed by a yellow cab whose driver was was having an insulin shock reaction from going light on his meds. I did a nice long rear somersault (looked at the blue sky above), and landed flat on my back on the hood of a full size Chevy taxi. I...

    We're gonna make a sign

Went to a vintage bike and car show yesterday. Stopped to pay my admission fee and the lady said if I would park my Spyder in the display area, I could come in for free. Did that and was swamped with gawkers and all the usual questions. Fun though.

Fender Tipz with LED vs. regular bulb

Triple Play install Just finished the above install. Assuming BRP hasn't reversed the polarity on the wiring, the install is strictly a plug and play. One tip - when you get to the part of securing the plastic box to the wiring harness, do it as far forward as you can. If it is too far back...

    Oil consumption

OK, here I go again showing off just how thick I can be. What is so mysterious about checking the oil level. If you wait a little while after shutting down and then check the level in the resovoir, then it would seem that you wouls be getting an accurate reading. The oil has run down out of...
