• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does adding additional Brake Light void the factory warranty

Dealers ALWAYS try to blame whatever problem on the accessories. After the 2nd SW update which fubared the fuel programming, I had one try to tell me the backfiring / popping and bogging at 4K rpm has something to do with the mud flap lights I installed. I told them one more stupid comment like...

    Day light Saving

I'd bet the $40K version will have that as an option to upgrade to for another $1,500.:roflblack:

    Day light Saving

That sounds about the right move. Put it away in Nov. and pull it out to ride it in Apr. Why even bother to change the darn time?!?!?

Left hand or thumb throttle for RT?

Spyder rider needs decent upper body and arm strength to steer and much more so in an emergency situation. It's not like a two wheeler where you can simply shift your weight and steer the bike to some degree. Also changing throttle setup could be tricky and potencially dangerous.

    givi top case wiring

Black to black and color to color would be my approach. To be sure I'd check it with a ohm meter first. Be sure to post a picture when you are done. I am looking at a possible e55 myself. I just don't like the brackets and thinking about bolting the base plate to the sport rack directly like...

    Stuck parking brake

Several quick step down and let off usually gets me out of the 'jam". But sometimes it took much more than several :cus: and that's when I got it replaced under the recall.

    Cost of Oil Change

Must be more expensive where you are. I am pretty sure dealers aren't putting in the synthetic stuff. $15 bucks for the OEM filter. Reuse all of the washers and o-rings unless you fubar's it. $11 per qt. of Royal Purple synthetic motor oil for M/C. That's $60 bucks and the staisfaction of a job...

    Ready for $4+ gas??

Considering my truck and SUV is running under 20mpg, Spyder is a pretty good deal at over 30mpg. Both cars are near 30 mpg so I'll be using more of them as price goes higher. Only thing I don't hold back on is the fun stuff. On a good day, I'll go thru 12 gallons of fuel in a little over 2...

    Cost of Oil Change

Note to self. Design a bike that will need the engine to be removed when it needs an oil change. Supply fee = $20, Labor = $2,000

    Cost of Oil Change

My Lexus dealer is less than $130 per hour. That's crazy. No oil change of any sort should cost over $50. IMO

    Totaled Spyder

Your best bet is to sell it on eBay. Do some research first so you don't low ball yourself. Take the time to get the pieces off completely with all wires attached so you can get top dollars. Clean all the gunks off before photographing it. If you do this right, you can minimize the...

    Totaled Spyder

First ... I hope you are insured. Second ... do not scrap the Spyder Pay the salvage value and part the unit out. You can get a lot of return on parts if you take your time and put them out. People always need parts and Spyder parts are hard to come by.

I hear your pain bro .... I have 3 jets myself and two out of three are gas guzzlers. My vacation routine is breakfast, get gas, lunch, get gas and supper, collect all empty cans for tomorrow.:roflblack: My response everytime I hear that is that you don't go thru 6 bottles of whater every 25...
