• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not sure about everyone else, but my Spyder came with a fuel gauge. I still remember owning several motorcycles that did not.

    Windshield recommendation

I am looking for a recommendation for a replacement windscreen. My Suzuki Burgman's windscreen is just below chin level. It blocks the wind but I do not look through it for normal riding. That seems to be perfect for me. I am 5'7" with a 30" inseam. I will probably also be adding the...

    Counting Cars--Episode featuring a Spyder

I spoke to a very nice French speaking women from the BRP factory at the NYC motorcycle show a couple years back. I wanted to know why they did make a full auto version. She indicated that they wanted to avoid the "scooter" image. I think they are already fighting the image that it is for...

I think some of those mods do not meet "DOT" standards and thus cannot be offered by BRP.

    Is a Warranty Really Needed.

I bought the longest available B.E.S.T. warranty for mine when it was new. I got it from Berts. My local dealer was pushing for an aftermarket warranty. I just knew that if I ended up with a lemon or some kind of catastrophic engine/transmission failure the repair cost would not be...

    Counting Cars--Episode featuring a Spyder

They must have switched bikes! The original silver/black bike clearly had a clutch lever. I remember thinking to myself that a better doner bike would have been a semi-auto. LOL. This reminds me of those cooking shows where they put a raw pie in the over and then pull out a golden brown one...

    Counting Cars--Episode featuring a Spyder

Spoiler Alert: The Sypder was an older SM5 (owner paid 9K) converted for a 4'1" tall rider. Original bike was black/silver with some stick-on (?) graphics. For the show it was painted purple with a devil/demon mural on the frunk. For me the best part was seeing the Sypder running up and down the...
