• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Extra fuel for long trip

extra fuel in Quebec province, on the James Bay Road once you leave Matagami, the last town, the next gas station is 236 miles with what I remember as one abandoned house along the way. My 1800 Wing was running on fumes, but I did have one gallon in the saddlebag just for grins. Andy

    Another tire question

Anyone have experience with the Michelin Primacy 215/60/15 ? It seems to me to be the closet thing to what is already on the Spyder, wear longer than the Kend and possibly correct the speedo error. I looked at the Kumho company website and there I could not find a listing for the 225/50/15...

what other sizes for rear tire?

I am looking for future replacement for the rear tie on my new 2014 RT and so far have found the Kumho in 225/55/15. Are there any other sizes that will fit the rear rim and the wheel well, ie dont rub or mess with the stability and traction control? How about the 225/60/15? Thanks Andy

Interesting Tire Olug Tool in this month's Rider

plugging a tire I picked up a roofing nail in California , plugged it with a Dynaplug and rode it home to southern Illinois by way of San Anonio. I was riding two up, pulling a LeesureLite camper, but I had a RunFlat car tire on My 1800 Gold Wing. When I got home I took it off and had a tire...

Auxiliary Fuse panel and other stuff

I just bought a new RT 2014 and am farkling. I plan on running all the farkles directly from the battery through a switched/relayed fuse panel and it seems the best place to locate the fuse panel would be in the frunk, close to the battery, but I have heard that the frunk has to come off for...

Thanks for the responses, I will torque mine to 95flbs and even that is kinda high, I dont think I had anything that called for over 80 flbs on my 1800 during routine maintenance stuff, but taking the engine out and putting it back together had some higher numbers. looks like the rear axle...

    Newbie Questions

I just bought my first Spyder last week, 2014 RT and perusing the owner manual I saw that the torque on the front wheel nuts was 77 lb ft and that seemed reasonable, but the rear axle nut called for 155 to 177 lb ft. Is the latter figure a typo or is it really a whopping 155 to 177 lb ft??? and...

    Headlight Modulator?

to modulate or not mdulate The human brain notices MOTION and not so much the brightness of a light, although there is no arguing that the brighter a light is the more it will be seen.
