• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone tried a Secdem windshield?

Looks nice, but may give limited wind protection.

Newly Bought 2010 Spyder RT for my father to enjoy his final years in life.

That's a very nice thing to do for your Dad. I'm sorry to hear of his problems, but he raised a good son, and I'm certain he'll appreciate the gift, and hope he'll enjoy many fun and safe miles on it. He'll definitely need the semi-automatic, and it simplifies things that he still has his right...

How to go about Draining the Radiators on 2020 F3S?

They're teed together, so it really doesn't matter. The LH hose was a bit easier to disconnect for me. When the majority is drained, you can jack up the other side to get a bit more out. The point of flushing with distilled water is that it doesn't matter if there's a bit left, as long as the...

How to go about Draining the Radiators on 2020 F3S?

My 2015 had no drain plugs. I removed the frunk interior and the grille, followed by the undertray, and disconnected the left lower radiator hose to drain the system. I repeatedly flushed with distilled water, warming the engine until the thermostat opened, until I got clear water out. To...

Spyder F3 brake pedal is too high - any ideas/recommendations? Anyone tried SE Performance Adjustable Brake Pedal Rod?

Anyone interested in shortening a brake rod, be sure to cut the section with right hand threads, as those taps are commonly available. Left hand taps can be expensive and hard to find.

Spyder F3 brake pedal is too high - any ideas/recommendations? Anyone tried SE Performance Adjustable Brake Pedal Rod?

My 2015 F3S is a manual. When I bought it the floorboards were at position #5. I could ride it, but it wasn't ideal for me. After finding that BRP didn't even list the optional shifter rods anymore, and the brake rods were overpriced, I decided to make my own. I ended up using threaded...

I just ordered BUDS w/ Megatech license.

The PV4 is awesome. It comes with basic tunes from Dynojet, but when you buy from Fuel Moto they include custom tunes, and updates for when you add mods later. I've collected several data logs from riding and sent them to Fuel Moto, and they tweaked the tune twice for my specific bike. I'm...

Will changing out the front shocks help prevent lifting one front wheel in tight corners?

I can easily lift a front wheel when accelerating out of a corner, but the nanny kicks in before it gets too high. I noticed a significant decrease in performance when riding two-up. After a bit of research I disabled the passenger switch, and the performance returned. It will definitely lift...

Is It OK to Make 500 km On the First Day With a Brand-New 2023 Can-Am RT Limited?

Thanks for your input. Being as I road raced cars for many years, and I'm building another racer as we speak, I know how to find the proper line through a corner, and am familiar with being smooth on the controls. I do move around on the trike, but I'm not as agile as I was in my younger years...

Is It OK to Make 500 km On the First Day With a Brand-New 2023 Can-Am RT Limited?

That's not been my experience. My F3S will lift a front wheel at much lower speeds than I can take the same corner in my cars. Trying to push any harder and the nanny kicks in and cuts power. 😡

Best belt tensioner = No belt tensioner at all!

Thanks, I didn't even notice. Got segway'd from another thread.

Best belt tensioner = No belt tensioner at all!

True. When I refurbished my knee mill, the manufacturer had very specific requirements for type, and AMOUNT, of grease to be inserted in the high precision (read; expensive) spindle bearings. The manual stated that over-greasing would cause overheating and bearing damage.

Tire search - what is everyone going to these days?

I've been pretty happy with the original Kendas on the front of my F3S. I have a Kumho Ecsta AST to go on the rear, but I'll probably get a set of the updated Kanines for the front. There's a definite weight advantage, and with only about 300# on each tire, they don't need much in the way of...

Tire search - what is everyone going to these days?

Either pattern is fine, as long as you don't just go around clockwise or counterclockwise. 🙄 🤣

I've used my plasma cutter to gouge out the head of a flat-head bolt, after it broke two hex bits. It actually worked very well, and didn't even harm the anodized aluminum part.

Is the bear the joke, or is there more to it? I don't get the correlation between the bear and the fight.
