• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Did you consider a Piaggio MP3 before getting a Spyder?

If this is a deal-breaker for you, be aware that you CAN drop a Piaggio MP3. I watched it happen to my friend's MP3 when she tossed someone the keys to take it for a ride. Also it doesn't have a reverse gear or reverse motor.

    Grace Potter - singer

That's lovely. It's fun to meet and make a human-to-human (vs. fan-to-star) connection with a famous person. I enjoy her music very much!

    Anyone experimented with Windshield extensions?

I had a Laminar Lip in my garage from a prior bike, but unfortunately it wouldn't fit my Gustaffson, which has too much curvature. So I picked up a Puig extender from Amazon (open box at a fraction of the full price). It's small but mighty! If I had a passenger I might need a wider extender but...

    BRP still shipping out '22s?

My local dealership, Arctic Adventures in Rosendale, New York, has *just* gotten in all the '22s they ordered last year. Just in time for the 'reveal of the 2023 models.

    Shad saddlebag key snapped

I've happily owned Shad top-cases for years, with no complaints about them at all. I noticed the key design of the Shad side cases for my F3-S was quite different, but I never expected it to prove so weak. I've only used the saddlebags for about 4 months. I'm immensely lucky the key didn't snap...

Added New Bags for a trip to NY

Americade, SpyderQuest, or Lake George because it's beautiful there? Your new bags look great.

Need Helmet Help. Considering HJC & GMax - any issues with either?

This comment is nothing to do about fitment, and everything to do with safety. The first modular helmet I ever bought was a GMAX. It was my third GMAX -- first a 'halfie,' then a 3/4, then the modular. (I got increasingly safety conscious as I learned to ride bigger and faster motorcycles.)...

Does Eco mode really make a difference?

Our local Can-Am guy told us that ECO is helpful if you combine it with your cruise control on a long run at interstate speeds. Haven't tried it yet myself. Your mileage may vary, of course.

    Old Habits die Hard

I had a muscle memory moment last year, my first year on a Spyder after 20 years of motorcycling. Reached for both clutch lever and front brake lever to slow down during a U-turn. Neither one being there, my brain fuzzed and couldn't remember what to do instead, and unfortunately I rear-ended...

Running rough at low rpm. Plugs? Water?

In December of 2020, I bought an F3-S. It was delivered to me with a half-full tank, and thanks to the weather I had no chance to run it at all. I put Sta-Bil in the tank, and the bike sat in my garage until Spring. When I finally got to go out to play, I experienced just what you are...

Ultimate and Corbin seat FITMENT - not comfort

My 2016 F3-S, which I purchased lightly used, came with a Corbin seat. The fitment of the seat is not as poor as CloverHillCrawler's, but I can slide a couple of fingers under the front of the saddle where it meets the tank. Dust gets in that spot easily, as does rain -- though neither has been...

Rear lighting with a luggage rack

Hmmmm! I wonder whether this unit be mounted on the luggage rack, instead of the rear fender. Wires might not reach that far ... but I like the wiring harness that comes with it.

Rear lighting with a luggage rack

Thank you, Troop, for the suggestion and pictures. BTW, love the flag mounts, too! Two thumbs way up!!

Rear lighting with a luggage rack

If possible, I'd prefer not tap into the wires. Maybe I can't avoid that if I want run/turn/brake ... Troop's experience is just one of several I've heard of that make me leery about trying it on any Spyder. Keep the thoughts coming, all. They're appreciated.

Rear lighting with a luggage rack

Last year, I added a Can-Am Spyder Accessories luggage rack to my 2016 F3-S. It joined the Cross Country bags my machine came with, to let me haul a comfortable amount of gear for road trips. This has had the unintended effect of reducing the visibility of the rear lights, as you can see from...

    February Weather News 2022

This is what that storm system left behind at my home in Tannersville, New York. Man, I hate ice storms. The snow we could actually have used here in ski country. This stuff is the pits.

What Power Outlets have you put in the Frunk of F3s? Pics?

I am intrigued and pleasantly surprised by the folks who power more than their Battery Tender off their Battery Tender pigtail. I'd read that was a no-no, especially powering heated gear off the pigtail. Hmmm.

    2021 Outside Temp Gauge Issue

My husband has a 2016 F3-T. I have a 2016 F3-S. Sitting side by side or riding right behind one another, my S always reads hotter. Sometimes by as few as 2 degrees, sometimes by as many as 10 degrees. Kinda disappointing, actually. I was rather pleased with the feature until I realized how...
