• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Little Blue's November 2021 Weather News

We're predicted tonight to get our first accumulation of the season. Even though all our bikes are winterized, I always figure I can still pull them out ... until the state DOT salts the highway. That'll probably happen tonight, too. <Deep sighhhh> So begins the long season of not riding...

    Share your mouse repellent ideas

I've had mouse trouble -- nesting in the air filter box, and so forth -- several times on my Honda CTX700, stored in our unheated, detached garage. And now I have my F3-S to worry about, plus my husband's F3-T. All that damned Tupperware! Three cats help, but they don't entirely solve the...

Pickens are slim - searching for a Spyder to buy...

Yesterday we brought my husband's F3T to our dealership for scheduled maintenance. While we were there, we noticed 5 Rykers and 5 F3 Spyders in a neat row in the parking lot. Each machine had a large white sticker with a number on its fender -- 1 through 5. I asked what that was about, and was...

    Hit a deer

Man. I'm awful glad you are OK, Wmoater! Hope you succeed in getting repairs made soon. When I was weighing the pros and cons of acquiring a Spyder (versus staying with my motorcycle), stories like yours were high on my list of pros.

Wife finally has her own Spyder

Two thumbs up! BearBait and I did something similar. He bought a 2016 F3-T several years ago. I enjoyed riding it so much that earlier this year I bought a 2016 F3-S for myself. His Spyder is named "Fred" (the Sled). So of course, when I bought mine, I christened it "Wilma." ;)

    Spyderquest 2021

I'm so glad the Value Accessories team will be attending Spyder Quest! I'll be there myself, and I want to meet the team. Been an occasional customer since the days when I owned a Suzuki C50!

Luggage rack installation failure - thoughts?

Thank you! Using the soldiering iron suggestion, we managed to get one of the two stuck bolts out. Progress!! Heat alone hasn't been enough to let us extract the second one that is stuck. Using a Dremel tool, we cut a slot for a flat-blade screwdriver to try, then applied heat via soldiering...

Luggage rack installation failure - thoughts?

Lock-Tite as the problem makes sense. This used to be a 7-millimeter torx head.

Luggage rack installation failure - thoughts?

Luggage rack installation, frozen bolts Tried today to do an easy mod, namely adding a CanAm Spyder Accessories rear luggage rack to my F3-S. While trying to remove the screws that hold in place the passenger hand grips and Cross Country saddlebags, 2 of the 4 screws (1 on each side) simply...

    Switching between Spyder and motorcycle

My motorcycle is a Honda CTX700 with dual-clutch transmission. I prefer Honda's DCT quite a lot to Can Am's semi-auto transmission. Does it drive you nuts yet that the paddle shifter on the Honda is exactly backward to the paddle shifter on your Spyder? I goof the Spyder's shifting pretty...

    Switching between Spyder and motorcycle

Thanks for the supportive posts. :) Confession: I'm a bundle of conflict about motorcycling vs Spydering. I had really hoped that when I got the Spyder, I'd quickly love it, and would know it was OK to find the Honda a new home. So far, I don't love the Spyder. I like it, but I don't love...

    Switching between Spyder and motorcycle

Yes! When I clipped my husband's machine, I had reached for both a clutch lever that isn't there and a handbrake that isn't there. Finding neither, my brain ran out of ideas for about 3 critical seconds. Then <BANG!> Also, I've hit the horn when I meant to hit the turn signal. Well, I'll...

    Switching between Spyder and motorcycle

I have to say, I didn't really anticipate that it would be so, ah, interesting to switch back and forth between riding my Spyder and riding my motorcycle. While intellectually I know muscle memory is important, I underestimated just how important. Purchased my F3-S over the winter. When the...

    Does your F3-S burble, too?

Ohhhhh ... there's an idea. I wonder whether the previous owner deleted the cat. I'll try to check that. Thank you, Touchdown.

    Does your F3-S burble, too?

I've got a 2016 F3-S. The hubs has a 2016 F3-T. I've ridden them both, and cannot help but notice that my S model "burbles" when slowing to a stop. It's quite a noticeable sound during down-shifting. My F3-S belonged to someone else originally, and he put an Akropovic exhaust on it. I...

    Thank you, Baja Ron

Although my '16 F3-S is quite a good-handling machine, I've been unhappy with the way it feels in tight curves. That late-arriving body lean, after already picking my line and committing to the curve, was a real drag. More than a drag, actually; it was nibbling away at my confidence in the...

    Adding backrest to Corbin seat?

What's under the leather covering, Dave, is a hole in the raw foam. I don't see anything sturdier, which seems a little odd.

    Adding backrest to Corbin seat?

I bought my 2016 FS-3 second hand a few months ago. It came with a Corbin seat. The seat has flaps covering what are obviously slots meant to accommodate a driver and a passenger backrest. Can I simply acquire a Corbin backrest, say off of EBay, and just slip it in one of those the slots and...

    Maiden voyage

SeaFoam for the win! Put some in the tank, then took a 45 mile ride. Within about 5 or 6 miles, the surging disappeared, and the rest of the trip was nice and smoooth. :) Thanks for the reassurance and advice, folks. Much appreciated.
