• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Saint Patrick's Day was a beautiful day here in Florida. Body screws

Body screws/Druz fastners I just checked the Kurveygirl site and they have 10 packs of 14mm fasteners for $30 a pack, that's about $3 a fastener, pricey, but should be worth it in saved time. I never counted all the screws I had to remove to strip :f_spider: but I don't think it was 40. I could...

    NC AREA SPYDER RYDERS

Mesh Jacket I live in east central Florida, it gets plenty hot and muggy in the summer. I wear the mesh jacket without liner all the time. Keeps the sun from cooking me too badly and absorbs those nasty bug hits. Mine is bright yellow, makes me more visible. The Air Force base here requires...

    Engine Oil usage

Engine Oil usage. Thanks guys. I peeked into the air box one day when I had the tupperware off, and it looked like some oil was indeed in the air box. I have read about this issue here, guess it is time to put the foam in the line or some other method of reducing oil in the intake/air box.

If I had a lot of money...

Messerschmidts When I was stationed in Germany in the early 60s there were a lot of those around. They even had clubs and you could see strings of them buzzing around the country usually on weekends. Of course, GIs were forbidden to own them, too dangerous!

    Engine Oil usage

Two weeks ago I brought the oil level in my :f_spider: up to the FULL mark. After a trip to Punta Gorda and Lake Placid I had a total of 470 miles since the fill-up of the oil. Checked the oil level today, it is about 1/4 to 1/3 the way down from FULL. Is this acceptable oil usage. I only have...

    Vendors

I' back . I just logged in on my Linux machine, which also has Firefox. Vendors show up just fine . Look at Spyderlovers home page on the right hand side you should see a line with a little block with a "V" in it. If there are two lines next to each other the images are collapsed. You can brush that "V" without even realising it and compress the images. I've done it and :banghead: until I...

Spyder Head Lights The first time I rode with other motorcycles, one of the Harley riders I was following mentioned at a stop that he couldn't see my headlights. He could see my bright yellow jacket fine. I read up on adjusting the lights and determined that they weren't anywhere near where...
