• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting First (New To Me) Spyder

We bought ours private from a retired couple so didn't have the luxury of getting a warranty. Personally, if given the choice I would at least buy a warranty that would cover powertrain as well as electronics etc because the powertrain on these seems pretty good from everything I've read but an...

Getting First (New To Me) Spyder

:congrats: On the purchase of your Spyder. My wife had also lost interest in riding with me on 2 wheels. Since getting our Spyder the first week in August she actually asks to go for a ride which is awesome. We've put over 4,000 mile on it since getting it and we both really enjoy it. The safety...

    Upgrade or No upgrade....from a 2010 to a 2016 or 2017 ?

Please let us know about the result of your brake failure message. Also let us know what you decide to do as far as upgrading. I have a 2011 and really like it. After reading a lot on this site, I won't allow myself to test ride a 2014 or newer because I'm afraid it will cost me many $$$$$$...

Advice and suggestions for curves and Twisties?

Same feelings I had Reading your post is almost like I wrote it a month ago. When we first got our RT about 6 weeks ago, the feeling of the cornering was so foreign to me after 50 years on 2 wheels. After one ride my wife actually mentioned to me that it was very jerky through the sweeping...

completely dumb and irrelevant question but curious.

I laughed when I read the original post because::::::::: The first time that I took a test ride an a Spyder RT the dealer told me I could have it for an hour which I thought was pretty reasonable. Anyway, about 15 minutes into the test ride, I pulled into a plaza just to check out the Spyder...

Doubts with the way of setting up the rear shock absorber

Still trying to understand as well I was hoping you would get an answer here because I'm also still trying to figure it out. My wife says the ride is rough on the back compared to a goldwing and even a Kawasaki Nomad. I've read a lot on this site and read about former goldwing riders who love...

Four Hours at a Shell Station Today

Thanks for the update. It's always good to know the end of the story. I've always had a battery tender and always plug in if I know that I won't be riding for a couple of days. Since getting the Spyder, that doesn't happen very often. :2thumbs:

Four Hours at a Shell Station Today

Why Did You Buy A Spyder?

After spending many years and miles a 2 wheels my friend that I rode with for over 200,000 miles was killed in a head on collision while riding his goldwing. I was supposed to be with him but family stuff prevented that. That was in 2013. I won't go into the details of his accident but I never...

    Battery tender

Here's the manual for battery tender JR. http://products.batterytender.com/021-0123-man.pdf a fast flashing green light means your battery is more than 80% charged. I plug mine in often and it's not uncommon for the red light to stay on for a long time. Next it goes to flashing green and...
