• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ladies (or men) on two-wheelers, some help?

Not as much fun? Love discussions which are based only on our individual opinions.....i.e, everyone is correct! My perspective on the Spyder in terms of "fun"... no where near as exciting as backing a Hayabusa into a corner at about 120 mph, or the acceleration, passing a V-Rod at 132...

Garmin 595LM Installation on F3 Ltd SS

I will most likely rewire this to use the factory GPS power and to have it integrate with radio when i do not want to use Bluetooth.

Garmin 595LM Installation on F3 Ltd SS

@WackyDan The RAM ball mount under the cuff comes with spacers from Garmin. However, these require a small amount of shaving down the diameter (I did a conical shave using a grinder and the spacer on a round shaft) then they will fit nicely into the recess in the cuff. If you look carefully...

    BRP belt tensioner

@Wildrice I sold my Hayabusa (2006 SE almost stock) at age 66. My year of birth was 1942....OMG We probably agree that BRP needs to get the solution to the vibration issue solved before it becomes a safety related issue. I say this because when it comes on severely and suddenly, it becomes a...

Right Brake Light not working on F3

My new roadster has less than 1000 miles on it and today I was told my right brake light was not working. Suspect the bike was never actually inspected at pre-delivery, but that the list of items was simply checked off assuming a new bike would have all working. I can assume the fuse is intact...

Garmin 595LM Installation on F3 Ltd SS

As I have asked many question regarding the Customer Accessory Circuits and how to install a GPS, I thought I would just do it. So, this is how I did the install of a Garmin 595LM (the up to date version of the 590 which is sold by BRP). I used a handlebar mount, all included with the Garmin...

    BRP belt tensioner

The "Vibration" As I am approaching 1000 miles on my new F3, I am discovering the vibration is less of a problem. The dependency on throttle position, roadster attitude, i.e., up or down a hill, and even wind all seem to alter the vibration severity. There are still times it is severe, but as...

    F3 Customer Accessory Circuits

One more question Does the middle power source come from the bottom or the top. If it is coming from the bottom and no plug is connected, one might expect it would be possible to just pull the wires out at the top and not have to cut any zip ties. Am i correct on this, or is it possible the...

    Spyder Sightings

Different Spyder "Sighting" I found a photo from May 2, 2008, Bluefield, WV, the day they delivered my first Spyder... Photo by Silvera, May 2, 2008 by Tommie Lauer, on Flickr Note the huge GPS, with a custom shade so as to be able to see it in the sun....LOL One other thing to note is the...

    BRP belt tensioner

Belt tensioner I ordered mine a couple days ago. The dealer has in stock the aftermarket tensioner for way over $200, but I opted for the BRP unit at $34.95. If nothing else, this is a relatively easy part to fabricate if you have reliable resources. But, we will see how it all works out...

Laser alinement in North carolina for new bike less then 2 k miles?

Laser alignment If i have a few minutes, I am going to set up my own laser alignment set up. This is not that difficult and for one who has varied the camber, castor and toe on racing vehicles, I would like to check these on the Spyder as there seems to be a lot of sensitivity to road camber...

    Driver foot positioning-ST to F3

Original to F3 As one who had an early Spyder, now an F3 with Limited Floorboards, I found the initial positioning on the F3 not to my liking. My two wheel experience was always leaning forward somewhat, this allowed my hips to bend at the waist when bumps were encountered, thus not driving...

    Turning off the electronics

With about 500 miles on my new F3, I may not be ready to trade yet...... I fully agree with the "lightening up" of the control. As previously stated, even in Eco mode the rear lit up for about twenty feet. And, I have sort of figured out the difference between Eco and standard... the throttle...

    Turning off the electronics

I started this thread because I was watching a video from Lamont, where he turns off the traction control. (About 1 minute in) So, I was wondering if other functions can be altered. Also, my first Spyder, long time ago, was much more constrained by the electronics than my current F3. A...
